Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo - Shiina Mashiro is really lovely!

Hello,

Today we'll have a preview of one of the most good-looking anime series of this upcoming fall season 2012 named Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo, adapted from a light novel with the same name written by Hajime Kamoshida.

The story follows the adventures of Kanda Sorata, a guy who end up living into a small dormitory named Sakurasou after being kicked out from the main dormitory of his school for bringing in a stray cat.

That's where he find Mashiro Shiina, a beautiful girl who turns out to be an artistic genius completely devoid of common sense or any kind of social skill.

I like the idea (used in the past in other series) of having an entire dormitory populated with "troublesome" students, as it allows for great comedy opportunities.

Of course, the main focus will be Mashiro and her relationship with Sorata, but I wonder if we will have some of the other characters shine as well!

I hope the anime will give a bit of focus to the backstory of each member of the dormitory, as I'm quite curious about the reasons making them end up into this dormitory.

The promotional video shows us an incredibly detailed and alluring visual style (Mashiro Shiina simply looks GORGEOUS) and a reasonably good animation.

I was positively impressed by the "Mahoraba Heartful Days" feeling coming out from this series, and I look forward to see if they'll live up to the hype.

By the way, the company working on this series is the well known J.C. Staff, that is also working on other series in this season like Little Busters.

We have many famous seiyuu working on this project like Ai Kayano (Inori Yuzuriha from Guilty Crown) as Mashiro Shiina, Yui Horie (Tsubasa Hanekawa from Bakemonogatari) as Ryuunosuke Akasaka, etc...

I'm also quite looking forward to the ED song titled "DAYS of DASH" sung by Konomi Suzuki that is the same singer that performed Tasogare Otome X Amnesia's OP song.

The series is scheduled to start the 08 october 2012 and will air in the favorable monday slot. Thanks to this, there are good chances for me to cover this series regularly in this blog.

Concluding, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo is definitely a series to look forward to in this upcoming fall season 2012. Especially if you like romantic comedies like me!

Because this series looks like the merge-up of these two series at the moment...

MY COMRADE!!! BELIEVE IN MASAMUNE!!!!!

One thing I was laughing about her name though although I don't think it's right but the "MUNE" in her name. It has that in her name but she... lacks it. BUT... FLAT IS JUSTICE. Lol.

However even though I like her a lot, I have to give an edge to Kanade. That smexy voice... that smexy look... that smexy everything...

No, I'm more leaning toward a romantic story with strong comedy elements. Kind of like what happened with Mahoraba, but with a more "ecchi" feel to it...

Did you watch Mahoraba right? That's one of the masterpiece of anime...

Always been wanting to read the LN or manga, but never did since the anime was coming out anyway. The 何色になりたい part made me think of Mashifoni. Gonna check this out.

On another note, I notice that two out of three images feal chose is from Kuwashima Rein. Great choice since his/her art is pretty cute and nice. I also love it due to the pastel like coloring and if you do more searches on it, the background is pretty nice as well.

4 preview and all of them lack fighting...well taking a break from all that might not be so bad watch a little slice of life every now and then with without a doubt a ton of bishoujo(what else it is feal preview and preference)though kind of boring seeing a happy slice of life want to see a slice of life where misfortune make havoc everywhere such as the girl or the protagonist dying in 3 episode might be interesting eh?back to the anime the girl is nicely design and have an amazing voice too the story kind of nice nothing too special but why not... the setting seem to be good too...though not sure about the protagonist since haven't seen anything about him my favorite character for this kind of story and setting would probably be tomoyo from clannad easy for me to see through his perspective that is my opinion but well going to be a nice anime though that is my thought...

Ahahah, don't be worried as there are a couple of fight series in this season, but I'm not sure if I'll preview them or not as I generally prefer a different genre of anime.

My coverage will depend if they are good series or not...

Chuunibyou is indeed interesting in theory but there are a lot of ways it may get lost on the way...setting up three way battles has killed a number of good series so i am very wary of that. They never fell into that with Hyouka, tho at times it looked like they might. Well we will be hopeful but frankly not a lot of the other series have really caught my eye yet. But we will see once they get going.

Setting seems to be a modern...but
The stage of Apartment is fun, impression of age to 1960-1970's in Japanese old TV drama.
Like..."sharing a flat" ? about Westerner People ?
My grandfather's house like this apartment style(now it doesn't exist).
There is NO PRIVACY(or few?)...^^; but people seems to have been a fun space.
(Of course, They made it on their own with effort and positive spirit, I think.)
I have no experience about this, but I remember it was a wonderland for me.

Anyway, Hero & Heroine's Youth drama I'm expecting.

Actually we did see that sort of apartment in Full Metal Panic, both Kaname and Souske had such apartments or flats and they are in high school, i can think of several other high school series that have them some even at the school, tho i am not sure if that is realistic or not. Thanks for sharing the sketch Sakumashiki San, much appreciated, and the source was even more interesting. It is possible for a lot of people to live together if they are careful ..no boys on second floor sounds like a good idea

oh no, it was just a normal apartment but it WAS an apartment is what i meant. It certaily wasnt a dorm sized one.
