Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 19th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Accel World that concludes Megumi/Kuroyukihime side-story and is ready to go back to the main story with Chiyuri's betrayal.
I found this episode to be extremely enjoyable thanks to the greatly animated battle and some extremely charming/cheerful characters, especially the two energetic middle schoolers.
It's a shame they won't have any more screentime from now on, but there is always hope for some kind of spin-off focused on them appearing sooner or later...:)

This week Accel World gave us some solid answers about the "hacking" theories we had in the past. Yes, it is possible to hack into Accel World, but that's an incredibly complex procedure that only few groups can manage to.
In this case we are introduced to a mysterious society that is developing tools in order to hack and cheat their way through the game just like we saw in this episode.
If we investigate in the opening animation, we are shown more avatars together with the enemy of this week. This may imply the final arc of the story will be focused around these mysterious cheaters...
As you can see in this small video scene, Megumi and Kuroyukihime makes the perfect yuri couple! At least, that's what my yuri-googles are trying to say to me.
I have to say that it was nice to see how their thoughts were linked together to the point of buying exactly the same gift to each other.
It was also nice to see Megumi recover temporarily her ability to accelerate and partecipate in the burst linker world. I wonder if there is some kind of software logic behind that...

After this light hearted side-story, next week we'll go back to the main story with Noumi's arc and judging from the preview segment there will be a couple of surprises for us.
First of all, what is that devilish pig shown in the preview? A new avatar for Haru or a power up of some sort? Truth to be said, it looks more like a visual gimmick into my eyes.
We also see some angst/drama for Takumu and Haru (probably trying to face Chiyuri's "betrayal") and even a "defeated" Kuroyukihime short scene. I speculate this last scene was just "imagination" because I can't really see Noumi defeating a level 9 player, even using blackmail...

Concluding, Accel World continues to be an extremely enjoyable series that I'll continue to cover in the future as well.
See you soon,
