Campione - Liliana has dark secrets indeed! Now fanservice?

Hello,

Today we'll talk about the seventh episode of the summer season 2012 anime series named Campione that concludes Liliana/Mariya's first combined personal arc with the defeat of the powerful campione Voban.

It was nice to see Mariya enter the harem officially with that passionate kiss, but I'm starting to get a bit worried about how Godou will manage to keep the relationships with four girls at once.

What will his sister Shizuka say about this situation? How can a normal girl like her she accept such a weird kind of relationships in the first place?

To be honest, I'm a bit unsure about what happened to Voban in this episode. I mean, he got defeated in both Apollo/Osiris form and Lightning God form, but what happened now to these powers?

There are two possible outcome that I can think of. The first is that the powers get completely removed from his body and will return to form a God in a very far future.

Another possibility is that a Campione can't lose his God powers until permanent death. In this second situation Voban would still be an extremely dangerous enemy for Godou...

As you can see from this small video scene, Erica re-affirm her superiority when we talk about "evil" characters of this anime series. How exactly did she get that information about Liliana?

Liliana, on the other side, was extremely cute with her embarrassed expressions and amusing reactions. I was not expecting her to show her "normal" side this early in the series...

I'm not sure about what will be Liliana's position now that she is free from the bindings of the werewolf Campione. Will she continue to "serve" Godou or what?

Judging from the preview segment, next episode will be a fanservice focused one revolving around swimsuits, beaches and hot springs. Yes, we're talking about the episode we were all looking forward to!

I'm a bit curious to see which of the girls will partecipate in this event. Will Athena join our hero as well? I would like to see more about what happened after her defeat...

What about the last heroine Ena Seishuin that is supposedly the strongest according to the random information available on the net? Will she make a cameo or she'll miss this opportunity altogether?

Concluding, Campione continues to be a fairly entertaining light hearted action/harem series with strong fanservice elements.

I'll continue to watch and blog about this series in the future as well.

I dunno...they made it sound like when his Authorities were beaten, he couldn't use them again (the servants thank Godou and stuff). But that doesn't seem logical...but if he can use them all again, then was that even a victory?

Exactly my thoughts, I suppose that he lost three gods into one battle (quite a bad result for him). That would give more value to my thesis that when defeated, the winning Campione won't gain any new God power.

This could prove interesting, because these Gods may actually return as characters in the future opening many new scenarios for Godou and the others...

Well, short is quite an understatement. The original light novel have 12 volumes and is still ongoing. That's a very VERY long series by normal standards.

Try to think that Gosick (Adapted in a two cour series some time ago) original light novel is 13 volumes long.

This implies that we will face two possibilities, open-end conclusion with possible second season, or anime original ending...what's your pick?

the first scene was nice showing erica and liliana about to fight kind of weird how they fight so seriously and the fight end with a rather amazing way...

now we know about liliana power of the flight this is clearly superior than an short burst of speed like erica boots of hermes...liliana should been able to won if it weren't for her drawer...though it was a nice moment showing the other side of her...hmm she doesn't join his harem yet though the girl seem to be quite shy i was not expecting that of her though she would be more knight like...

godou have his limitation if he use raptor too much his body couldn't handle the strain and got hurt and thanks to campione property every time he need healing we will see him kissing a girl from his harem which is amazing way to heal someone i seen so far...apparently voban manage capture the stalion and eat it and combine with it shouldn't he be able to use it's power then?

so voban have 2 god albeit with similar trait only different power...though if he lose apollo then defeating osiris even without the golden sword shouldn't be that difficult considering he have become a normal human instead of enhanced form wolf he could just the boar if he wanted to kill him...and in the middle of the battle they found a way to still manage to do that transfering knowledge i mean...and how strong is voban really he manage to conjure 3 more god rain,thunder,and wind though he seem to have a past like godou becoming a campione by accident and master it through will power maybe godou will become like that in the future considering the similar past..thogh we got to see another authority the goat which control lightning and hear the prayer of those who need him...in here we got to see something interesting what happen to a tyrant fate like those in history those who were a tyrant bore the hate of his subject which lead to their downfall...and we see the golden sword use he uses them like gate of babylon though...and erica sure is clingy to godou...

It was awesome to see that ending. So amusing!

From what I read from the official source, they're both at the same level of power so the winner is completely uncertain. The last girl is instead a bit different, being completely overpowered compared to Erica or Liliana...

Liliana will join sooner or later...

Voban still have other gods, not only Apollo and Orisis and that's the problem with the fight. Godou actually defeated three gods during the battle, but we don't know HOW MANY does he have...

Godou has good chances of becoming like Voban in terms of power if he continues to fight Gods one after another. Together with the army of bishoujos he's creating, he may well become the most powerful being on earth...

Yes, it looks so similar to Gate of Babylon that it hurts...>_<

So basically the girls will have a very strong rival when the new girl joins? Wow Erica is going to have a hard time. She said that Godou was allowed one mistress but now they're just piling up!

Can't wait till Liliana joins though!

One that's a bit weird for me is that whenever Erica is kissing Godou, while she's awesome and everything (I definitely like her), I feel nothing from the kiss. When Mariya was kissing Godou this episode, it felt rather hot. Hmm... maybe I'm broken or something...

Any how, back to rewatching the latest Dog Days episode. Such a freaking awesome episode.

Same thoughts here, the kisses are forced and even a bit creepy to be honest. I'm not sure about what they're trying to achieve with them...

it is isn't it... i mean seeing her panic and embarrassed face is priceless...same like saber desperate face at the end of fate zero only saber is more tragic...

hmm that is a spoiler for other time i seen what she could do but until she got shown let us not talk about it...

yes same like other harem bishoujo they always do...it is impossible to resist harem protagonist i guess...no matter how strong their will is they can't fight fate...

in a fight it is said better to focus at the fight first then think about consequences later then think about it early and got killed...he defeated 2 god before he could summon another one summon the boar while he let his guard down and then end the battle...if he combine the boar with the last lightning the goat he could even kill him or at least harm him...though godou probably already ask erica to teach him about the weather god...and voban probably got severely weaken thanks to his 2 god apollo and osiris got defeated but on the other side of the note osiris authority is killed making the soul of the trapped warrior released and help godou so even at death they still manage to contain their own will huh...

or he could get the power of karna and his golden armor and get invincibility
and albeit the similar maybe he should fight gilgamesh and earn his power he did got deified and said to comparable to god right so why not.....

Let's forget about it for now then!

They will all enter his harem! EVERYONE! EVERYONE even Voban! Ok, no we don't want him!

Not sure it works that way, why would they make the story take this turn ruining all the development for the new powers of Voban? That would be a real world battle trying to predict the next step of the enemy.

Gilgamesh is not a full fledged God, so I suppose the curse won't work and Godou will remain with no extra power at all...

well if the male even join the harem then that is one hell of a protagonist...
the next stage will be like touma who's harem reach 10000 thanks to the sister experiment...

in all battle feal your trying to predict the enemy next movement i am sure campione battle isn't that much different though it is by no mean predicting considering with the boar your hoping it is enough to kill him...if that doesn't work the goat...either way he isn't going to survive being hit by both of that even if he did he would be wounded and he could use the authority to win in a close quarter combat...

wonder if demigod count as a one should be interesting for him to fought karna who have the invincible golden armor...

Like Touma? THat's going to be hard as Touma is able to conquer hundred of girls without even trying.

From what light novel readers said (just read the comment under mine), Voban was just playing around with Godou and his power is a lot bigger than what is being shown in this episode. I suppose he wasn't 100% serious when fighting him and just wanted to see how powerful the new Campione was...

Well, not sure, but I suppose they'll explore this demigod feature in the future.

touma is more amazing in my opinion he punch the girl and the girl goes into his harem logic is broken...

so outclass but nonetheless if he continue fighting the next time he fight with him most of his authority is already gone...of course if that were the case then killing him or even harming him is impossible so the only think godou can do is to severe most of his authority...

hmm sigurd is a worth opponent his body is invulnerable after all...then again if i'm not mistaken an angel is in campione too albeit it is not a god so a demigod is not entirely impossible...

Voban's authorities were just temporarily sealed for a while...The power he showed to us was just a fraction of his power. If he go all out, Godou and Tokyo will certainly be blasted away.

Ena's power is stronger than Lily and Erica but not that much after Vol 5.

which is exactly the next event since volume 3 was a flashback story with Goudou retelling his tale on how he defeated Verethragna while going to Sardinia with Yuri since we already had that covered the next one will be Goudou once again ends up in Sardinia and Doni releasing a serpent which in turn makes up the appearance of Perseus all this in Volume 4 then we have Volume 5 which introduces us the Kusanagi no Tsurugi (Susanoo's sword, and no its not Goudou's "sword", but the name highly implies its fore shadowing), and Ena's introduction to the Harem, formally joins in the same volume without the oath taking and kissing part

Actually, The Chinese Campione who is on par with Voban, the American Campione John Pluto Smith,aka JPS, and the Sage Equaling Heaven are all introduced in Vol 6 . The battle against the Sage Equaling Heaven is in Vol 7. Vol 8 is a collection of short stories.

Next arc, we will be properly introduced to Salvatore Doni,Western Europe Campione, Godou's self-proclaimed "best friend" and a dangerous nutcase that you will only call when U really want to say good-bye to your priceless artifact or NOT!!

Truth to be said, I still don't have much info about the length of this series, but would make sense to adapt it in a 24 episodes series. That would give enough time to cover all the volumes released till now.

The title of the next episode is "A hero arrives". Not sure to WHO they are referring, but I speculate its that Italian campione...

Damn, I still can't read LN, but one of these days, I'll start that one last addiction from Japan. (looks like the doramas didn't work on me).

I'm not really sure who I pissed off in the upper levels to not give me any grown-up A-tan and neither my Yamato Nadeshiko style character and instead introduce the perverted friend. I'll be damn.

I just remembered that Goudou has to battle with Melquart in the anime... they might somehow insert that in as another flashback episode... opposed to the original novels being Goudou retelling Verethragna this all happens as part of the summer break plot story on verethragna, Lily being part of Goudou's Harem battling Perseus...

Ever since Erica Blandelli proclaimed that she'll let Godou add girls to his harem but Erica has to be #1, I have a new interpretation of the opening song animation where adult!Athena fights Erica on the tops of buildings: they were arguing on who's the better "wife" to Godou, and Godou stepped in to stop his girls.
