Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 15th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Hyouka that finally start to focus on a new mystery surrounding the school festival setting.
It seems that this thief is emulating one of the most popular detective fiction of Agatha Christie named "the A.B.C. Murders" and hitting one after another all the clubs in his way to complete the "combination".
We still have nearly no way to detect or speculate about which are the motives behind these events. However, I don't think we can honestly expect to get any "serious" reason from Hyouka.

Truth to be said, I don't think any of the characters newly introduced in this story arc are suspicious. Who can be the culprit? Will it be a new character altogether or an existing one from the previous arcs?
The only possible culprit in my mind is the News Poster club president named Masashi Tōgaito. He was searching for a good "story" since the beginning so it wouldn't be strange for him to try and create a mystery out of nothing...
By the way, am I the only one who is starting to hate Satoshi? In all these recent episodes, his attitude against Houtarou is getting less and less that of a friend to the point of making him start to look like a rival.
Just as you can see in this short video segment, Mayaka had a strong mental breakdown in this episode due to bullying by her fellow manga club members.
Even with the intervention of an upperclassman, the situation isn't going any better. How will Mayaka manage to regain the trust of everyone in the manga club?
I still don't understand the meaning of all this rivalrly/hate between Mayaka and the other girls, but I suppose it's something important in the eyes of an high school student...

Next episode will likely give us the solution to the school festival mystery with Houtarou shining once again after so many episodes of "nothing". It'll be also a nice way for him to recover since Irisu's incident...
I'm very curious about how Houtarou is going to be able to pick the correct culprit with this very small batch of information we have at the moment...
I also hope they'll resolve Mayaka's problems with the manga club, because it was quite heartstrucking watching her cry alone in this episode.

Concluding, Hyouka continues to be a very interesting series that I'll continue to watch and cover in this blog weekly.
See you soon,
