Today we'll talk about the 16th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Accel World that introduce us to a new recurring character named Sky Raker (Fuuko Kurasaki).
I was not expecting her to be level 8 (an extremely high level in this world) and a close friend of Kuroyukihime. Her knowledge may become an invaluable resource in Kuroyukihime's quest to become a level 10.
However, I'm unsure about her usefulness in battle. How is she going to fight against enemies while in wheelchair? She doesn't seem to have any other power or item hidden in her frail body...
If it actually works as Sky Raker explained, this power of the mind is really a extremely powerful cheat weapon at the same level of the lambda driver installed in the Arbalest mecha of Full Metal Panic.
Why? Well, because it allows you to do basically everything without any kind of hard limitation whatsoever. I hope the series won't end up becoming a battle between "minds" after Haru manages to learn how to use it efficiently...
I'm also quite curious to see the facedown battle between Takumi and Noumi in a normal kendo match as shown in the OP animation. Will Takumi manage to get his revenge?
Let's give our warm welcome to yet another member in the Nega Nebulus. She's named Fuuko Kurasaki and she's both Haru's new teacher and the owner of the Sky Raker duel-avatar.
I wonder if she really has some "romantic interest" in Haru just like Yuniko, Chiyuri or Kuroyukihime. I mean, judging from our previous experiences she must be already in love with him.
By the way, am I the only one thinking that her smile is extremely charming? She's quite different from the other girls introduced till now, she looks more "mentally" adult!
Next episode will feature the battle between Haru and Noumi, but it's still uncertain if this will be the final battle in which Haru will recover his wings once and for all.
Judging from the preview, Takumu decided to help Haru even after all those harsh words he received in the last episode. That guy really become some sort of saint after being defeated by Haru at the beginning of the series...
We will also get some swimsuit shots of Kuroyukihime, but I'm unsure if that's an illusion created by Noumi (with some of the stolen skills) or a real pic sent by Kuroyukihime to Haru...:|
Concluding, Accel World is finally back on track delivering entertaining content without that pointless drama they tried to fit in the beginning of this story arc.
I'm going to continue covering this series weekly in this blog.
