Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 14th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Accel World that start a new story arc without the involvement of the main heroine Kuroyukihime (away for a school trip).
I was looking forward to watch how Kuroyukihime's army was going to survive without her powerful avatar, but it seems that they are pursuing an unrealistic forced drama side-story that feels out-of-place in the original goal of reaching level 10.
I mean, all the story seems to revolve around this new random guy blackmailing into submission everyone around him (Chiyuri and Haru included) just to protect himself from harm.

Yes, it somehow reminds me of Taku and we can probably draw some parallels here, but I really don't think that this whole concept was worth spending another entire story arc to develop.
Trying to investigate for possible spoilers in the new OP content, we clearly see Seiji depicted as a major villain (no chances for him to become a friend in the future), and at the same time "skull biker" makes his return as a friendly character.
I wonder what kind of situation will bring Haruyuki driving on his motorcycle instead of flying around the battlefield...:|
Wait, how did he not notice that the bag was of a completely different color? I appreciate the effort Haru makes in every episode to create amusing fanservice scenes for us, but this looks just idiotic.
I have to say that it's nice to see how Chiyuri would go to great lengths to protect Haru from school suspension or any kind of harm. At the same time, this makes it difficult for me to understand her real feelings.
Everything seems to imply that she is in love with Haru, but why would she still fake being the girlfriend of Taku? I simply can't understand her logic...

By the way, am I the only one thinking that the new ED animation is extremely amusing? I mean, it's so entertaining to watch Kuroyukihime (real) and Kuroyukihime (avatar) fight over Haru's "love"! :D
Next episode seems to focus over the battle between Seiji and Haru/Chiyuri that I'm sure it won't last long (max 2 episodes). It'll be interesting to see which are the capabilities of Seiji's avatar, especially if we think about his manipulative personality.
Truth to be said, It would be amusing if Haru (or even Chiyuri) managed to manipulate him into losing the battle and maybe the whole Brain Burst program once and for all. It would be a good testbed to know which are the effects of losing the program in the first place...

Concluding, I'm not sure about what Accel World is trying to achieve with this arc, but I'll keep on watching. It is somehow underwhelming compared to what we were used to receive till now...
See you soon,
