Hello,
Let's give a look at the first episode of the summer season 2012 anime series named Kokoro Connect that manages to produce the best first episode I watched till now in this summer season.
It was, of course, an introduction episode showing us the many quirks of the main characters so there wasn't much development or drama.
On the other side the entertainment level was extremely good with all the comedy they managed to fit in one single episode. I loved the "which one would you prefer to see naked between the two of us?".

The story seems to configure itself as a slice of life one with random drama in between developing the relationships between the main characters, some of which may actually end up becoming romantic ones.
We already got a glimpse of the drama by watching an extremely sad Iori answering to the call of her working mother. She's lonely at home and probably want a normal life with her family...:(
By the way, the opening song is actually quite good and is named "Paradigm" sung by Eufonius (the same group as "Reflectia" of True Tears). I'm extremely looking forward to the single release date (18th July 2012).
Let's be honest here, were you jelly after watching this small video scene? I totally was, and as I said in the title I would gladly switch body with Iori anytime she wanted. :P
Talking about Iori, she's by far my favourite character in this series thanks to the combination of energetic personality, cute looks and dirty mind.
I'm pretty sure she'll become the best character of the whole season if she keeps acting in that way. Especially if we add up that she is voiced by Aki Toyosaki (Yui Hirasawa from K-On!).

Next episode seems to continue with the same approach by using another body switch as plot device. This time it'll be a three-way switch, but I'm not exactly sure which will be the people changing bodies.
I suppose the best candidates at this point are Himeko Hinaba (never involved in any switch), Yui Kiriyama (she was the first one so she has good chances to be used again) and one of the two guys for added comedy value.
The only worry I have about this series is about the possible drama that will develop from their relationship. Especially as a lot of the fan-art available on the net shows us the five main characters with a sad face...

Concluding, Kokoro Connect proves to be one of the most entertaining series of this summer season 2012. I suggest this series to anyone looking for some comedy/romance/drama anime!
I'm going to watch and cover this series regularly on this blog.
See you soon,
