Hello,
Today we'll talk about a summer season 2012 anime series named Campione that resemble the typical action/romance/harem combination we got used to see in many other series in the past. (To Aru Majutsu no Index included)
The premise is quite simple and we have a normal Japanese boy stumbling in an italian city (more precisely inside one of the two big islands of Italy named "Sardegna") and ending up being involved in a battle between gods.
Yes, he somehow end up fighting against gods, but I really wonder if the focus of the series will actually be the battle against the gods or simply the cute girls featured in it.

I was completely going to ignore this series, but I'm glad I decided to give it a shot, because I'm extremely enjoying the combination between comedy/fanservice and story developments.
By the way, was I the only one shouting either "Gilgamesh from the Fate Franchise!" or "Unlimited Blade Works" when he started pulling powerful gold swords from the floor?
I can understand some similarity, but this skill is like shouting "yes, I'm a reference!" to the people watching it. For a split second I was waiting for him to start talking with the typical smug attitude from Gilgamesh. :P
Yes, just as you can see in this short video, we got right in the first episode the obligatory scene that happens in pretty much all the harem anime. The protagonist somehow end up alone with a naked main heroine!
I have to say that I'm extremely liking Erica Blandetti's personality and voice. She resemble the typical modern tsundere in personality and is voiced by the godly Yoko Hikasa (the same as Mio Akiyama of K-On!)
However, I can't decide which is my favourite at the moment, because we still have no introduction for the other four girls that will be part of the main cast.

Next episode will likely mark the introduction of another of the main cast's girls and will probably give us some explanation around the power that our protagonist used.
I'm sure he has some link to some powerful entity because otherwise I just can't explain how he was able to defeat a god in a couple of minutes without issues at all.
I'm also predicting that he'll have to kiss all the other girls as well to use their "power" in future battles, but I'm not really sure about what they want to achieve with this plot device...

Concluding, Campione is a good action/comedy/fanservice series in this summer season 2012 and is a nice candidate to be covered weekly depending on the work-load of this season.
See you soon,
