Hello,
Today we'll talk about the first episode of the summer season 2012 anime series Tari Tari that configures itself as a slice of life story revolving around the life of three high school girls and two high school boys.
The theme of this anime series is "music", but there are strong hints of drama (in the opening animation) revolving around the interactions between the main five characters.
We could probably draw some parallel here between Tari Tari and True Tears, because both series sports three girls and two guys. This number implies one of them simply can't be "happy" in a romantic sense...

The first episode was an enjoyable experience with all the random comedy, especially whenever Konatsu and "Ween" (it's so funny to see the culture gap) are involved.
I laughed hard when that chorus started singing Reflectia from Eufonius that is the opening song from True Tears. It was extremely nostalgic to listen again to a song that I loved back in the days.
To be honest, I would love to see either Noe or Hiromi make a cameo appearance in this series. Just to tell us that both stories happened in the same "universe"...
Konatsu is simply awesome, the best girl of the three till now and my favourite character in this light hearted story. I doubt anyone else could possibly defeat such an energetic cute girl!
By the way, am I the only one raging against that teacher? I do understand her complaint, but isn't the school all about growing up in a safe environment?
Why should Konatsu be excluded from any activity only because she "messed up" once in her high school days?! That's just too strict to be a learning environment...

The opening song "Dreamer" sung by AiRi is slowly growing up on me and I'm eagerly waiting for the single to be released on the first of august.
Now that the first episode and all the introductions are out of the way, I expect next episode to be focused more around the creation of the club where the main characters will spend most of their time.
I wonder how they'll justify the creation of another club with the same exact purpose in the same school, because generally that would be considered "a waste of money".

Concluding, Tari Tari looks one of the most interesting anime series of this summer season 2012 and is a must-watch to anyone looking for a light-hearted well-produced slice of life story.
I still haven't decided a schedule for this summer season, but there are high odds I'll be covering Tari Tari.
See you soon,
