Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 11th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Accel World that manages to kill off one of the most powerful avatar in the accelerated world.
I was excited when the two kings were about to unleash their final move, but well... it seems Chrome Disaster decided to intervene and kill off the yellow king by himself.
That's quite a shame because that implies Kuroyukihime gains 0 points from that kill, while Chrome Disaster got a massive power-up...

We also got to know that the armor moves from King to King (like we predicted) with the yellow king being the last guy receiving the item. To me, the cursed armor looks like some device prepared by the "creator" to try and destroy the truce between level 9 players.
By the way, the flashback scene showing Kuroyukihime killing the old Red King was quite a creepy sight, because it shows us the evil/ruthless side of our main heroine.
She used deceit in order to lure and kill the red king and who knows if she'll end up betraying Haru and the others when the time comes!? She seems to be ready to do everything in order to reach level 10.
Ok, this was the part in which I was thinking "are they really animating this battle or they used up all their budget on Yuniko's cool rockets in the first half of the episode?".
The battle was just a pew-pew reminiscent of the old Dragon Ball style and, while being a battle between level 9 players, it didn't look very interesting.
I mean, do you remember the cool battles in Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon (especially Tadakatsu Honda vs Muneshige Tachibana)? I wonder what went wrong with this...

Next episode looks like it'll be the final battle of our heroes (mainly Haru and Kuroyukihime) against the cursed armor and its owner. I wonder if Yuniko will be able to join the battle with her extremely damaged armor...
Judging from the preview, Kuroyukihime will be struggling against that monster and I'm speculating that the reason for this is related with the Yellow king's death. I mean, Chrome disaster should be "level 9" after killing by himself such a hi-level player...
I'm also curious to see if they'll manage to "revive" Taku's avatar in some way. It would be too sad to see him disappear after only 11 episodes...

Concluding, Accel World continues to be an extremely entertaining series that has potential to become a great hit of this season.
I'm looking forward to watch and cover the future episodes as well.
See you soon,
