Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 11th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Sankarea that is slowly coming to an end now that Rea's father got finally defeated.
While I knew what was going to happen, it was still entertaining to finally see Rea stand up without fear against her crazy father.
It's a shame that she needed to "die" in order to get such resolve. If she only managed to stand up before, maybe she could have survived as a normal girl..

I felt Rea's father transition between "murderous lolicon father" to "ok, take her and go away please Mr Chihiro" was too sudden and somehow felt very forced.
I don't know if they were trying to make him look less "dangerous", but I think they failed. I can't condone how he was the main reason for Rea's death...
By the way, am I the only one thinking that Ranko's final scene was some sort of "war declaration" against Rea? She was trying in every possible way to make her feel uncomfortable...:P
How convient is this zombie power, isn't it? Just a simple saliva contact with Rea (the injury licking of some episodes ago) is enough for Chihiro to become partially zombie for a limited period of time.
This allows him to face Rea's father even while gravely injured in a "almost-cool" scene. Well, not entirely cool because in the end its Rea that gives the last "blow" to her father.
I also have to agree that Bunny Rea was really awesome! However, I still can't choose what costume is better between Maid Rea, Bunny Rea and Nurse Rea...awwwwww!

Judging from the episode preview, we're in for another Mero-centric story that will bring some kind of development in the relationship between Mero, Rea and Chihiro.
I wonder if they'll have enough time to introduce the new main character that is supposed to appear (looking at the manga) just after Rea's father is defeated.
Or well, maybe they will decide to keep her away for a next possible season. I'm not sure if they'll be able to produce it though, because till now they only got 1600 preorders on the dvd/blu ray of the first volume...

Concluding, Sankarea has been an entertaining and well-produced series till now and I really hope they'll decide to produce a second season in the future as there is plenty of material available.
See you soon,
