Today we'll talk about the 10th episode of the spring season 2012 anime series named Accel World that restarts with a plot-heavy episode after a week of temporary stop.
It seems the whole incident was an orchestrated plan by the other kings in order to kill both red and black king at once. I wonder why resorting to such an underhand tactic instead of a full blown war...
The only king shown till now is the yellow king, but I suppose the other kings will appear in the next episode as well in order to be able to face both Kuroyukihime and Yuniko.
The most important piece of information we got from the episode is related to what is the relationship between accelerated time and real time and how Kuroyukihime and Yuniko managed to spend a lot of time in the game.
Yes, because one single day in real life means three years in the accelerated world. That means that using that "hunting ground" the girls could've spent hundred of years hunting monsters and gaining levels in a relatively short timeframe.
Try to think that playing for about 5 hours a day would net 228 years of accelerated time every real time year. Maybe Yuniko and Kuroyukihime are really 200-400 years old...
As you can see in this short video scene, both Yuniko and Kuroyukihime have some kind of romantic attraction for Haru to the point of fighting over every little thing related to him.
I still can't understand how such a thing is happening, but I suppose that being a mere 24 years old guy leave me with a too limited mind to comprehend the old ladies starring this show!
By the way, its funny to see how Takumu (arch-enemy of the first couple of episodes) is becoming more and more a "comedy relief" character... :P
Judging from the short preview segment next episode will be focused on the battle between the black/red king and the assailing army of the yellow king. I have no doubts that both Haru and Kuroyukihime will find a way to defeat them, but I'm a bit worried for Yuniko.
In this battle she'll lose one hand of her avatar. I hope she won't lose all points and get destroyed because I'm really liking her character and how she antagonize Kuroyukihime over everything Haru-related!
I'm also quite curious to know which are the powers of the yellow king (He's a level 9 user!), he doesn't seems very powerful just by looking at his avatar.
Concluding, Accel World is near to conclude its first real story arc that will likely extend till half-series (12/13 episodes).
I wonder if we'll get more filler/comedy before the next story arc begins...
