Hello,
Today we'll talk about one of the anime series that will be featured in this summer season 2012 named Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate adapted from a visual novel with the same name.
I extremely enjoyed this visual novel when I first played it in the long-past October/November 2010 and I have to say I'm quite excited about watching the heroines in a fully animated environment.
The story follows the adventures of the "Food Research Club" and its seven members trying to win the student council elections in order to avoid being closed down due to a new policy proposed by the most influential candidate to the election.

The story is extremely light hearted with some heart-touching moments only during the individual routes. This is the typical romantic fare we all know well, so unless you like this particular genre I suggest you to stay away from this series.
The seiyuu working on this project are quite popular and had plenty of leading roles in the latest years. I'm extremely looking forward to Mai Kadowaki's (Ilya from Fate Stay Night) role as Isara Aomi and Kaori Mizuhashi (Minami Shimada from Baka Test) as Mifuyu.
The most uncertain point in this series is the director Toru Kitahata, because this is supposedly his first job as full director of an anime series (he only worked as an episode director till now).
The visual looks, while not perfect like the visual novel, are quite good and they do a good job portraying the beauty of heroines and sceneries featured in this visual novel.
I'm unsure about the level of quality they'll deliver in terms of animation, but I suppose we have to trust the animation company this time around considering their big experience.
AIC Build adapted in the past many successfull series like Sora no Otoshimono, Persona 4 the Animation, Ore no Imouto, etc... and they have some level of trust from me.

Just as I said in the title, I don't have many doubts about who will win the harem race, because Chisato is supposedly the MAIN heroine of the story.
Of course we can't say anything for sure because anime companies managed to troll us in the past with unpredictable endings (Mashiro Iro Symphony is an example of it...).
However she's quite a nice girl and I won't mind her winning the battle this time around, even if I still prefer Isara/Michiru in terms of personality. (their chances of winning are, unfortunately near zero...)

Concluding, Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate is a series to look forward for anyone looking for a light hearted romantic story. Just don't have too much expectations about the story!
See you soon,
