Today we'll talk about the sixth episode of the anime series Accel World that continues to deliver solid character developments and some interesting story twist.
I was not expecting Kuroyukihime asking Taku for a duel, but I suppose that's a good thing because we'll finally be able to see the characteristics and capabilities of her avatar.
At the same time, now that Chiyuri knows about the program, it's becoming more and more likely that she will join the "black army" together with Haru, Kuroyukihime and Taku.
In this episode we get to know something more about the process of leveling up in the accellerated world. It seems that whenever you level up you end up using a big chunk of your points in order to increase the capabilities of your avatar.
This creates many problem to Haru that ended up consuming most of his points in this stupid way and is now risking to quit the game for "lack of points".
Will the "bodyguard" they hired to protect Haru be good enough to make him recover all the points in a short timeframe? Why is this "bodyguard" still a level 1 herself?
Haru, Good job in falling over the only beautiful girl in a radius of 10 meters around you! Fanservice value aside, I was really surprised when I first watched this amusing scene.
It seems even the extremely clumsy Haru can manage some good reflexes defending a tablet from the hands of that girl. (I do understand it was all comedy...:P)
Watching the OP in slow motion I noticed a little redhead girl appearing together with our heroes in some scene. Is that really Kurrent, the SAME girl shown in this video?
Next episode will focus on the battle between Kuroyukihime and Taku. Why Kuroyukihime decided to fight Taku all of a sudden? Revenge for his past actions (unlikely) or did she discover something fishy (likely)?
Just before the episode ended we saw an angry Kuroyukihime watching some document resembling a tourney bracket. Is that linked with Taku decision to leave his position as professional kendo player?
Reasons aside, it's a great chance for us to behold the power of a real level 9 burst linker in action even if I'm not sure if she'll use all her potential against such a low level player...
Concluding, Accel World continues to be an entertaining action/sci-fi anime series with a very promising story. If you're still on the fence it's one of the must pick anime series for this spring season 2012.
I'm extremely looking forward to the watch and blog about the following episodes.
