Hello,
Today we'll talk about the 18th and 19th episodes of the Fall season 2011 anime series Mirai Nikki that changed drastically Yukiteru's personality and actions from a wimpy middle-schooler to a brutal murderer with no regrets.
I quite like the new Yukiteru, a lot more than his old wimpy self, even if I know that he's just getting manipulated by the hot evil Yuno (or wait was she really called Yuno in the first place?!)!
These two episodes switch the story focus from the episodic "enemy of the week/arc" to a more dynamic action battle between the few remaining diary holders.

The two episodes kill off both mother and father of Yukiteru in a very brutal way leaving him alone in despair. A despair Yuno used nicely in order to gain affection points over him by suggesting to become God and resurrect everyone.
I'm really thinking that Yuno has some kind of hidden agenda in this whole story, she seems too dedicated to Yukiteru's goal of becoming God for no apparent reason.
On the other side I felt pity for the 8th diary user. She is just a normal woman and I don't feel any kind of killing intent from her. I wonder how she will end up dying...:|
Citing the famous words of a comic strip from Penny Arcade, I would only say "Who are you? What have you done with Yukiteru?!". I was like "Wait, did I lost some information? I don't remember him this way!"
I have to say that this transformation to "evil" is a lot more bearable (I'm actually liking more this new personality) than the "I'm the angsty king!" reaction from Shu of Guilty Crown.
Yuno, as you can see here and in the car chase scene, is as hot as ever. They really managed to create the perfect girlfriend in this series, now if it wasn't for her personality...

The revelation at the very end of the 19th episode of Yuno Gasai's death come as a surprise for me. Does that means that the girl we enjoyed till now is not called Yuno?
But even so, the feelings from Yukiteru are true, whatever is her real name or status. She is the girl who has been with him all this time, the girl he loves, I really hope he won't be swayed by the words of Akise.
By the way, I'm more leaning to the "I'm a time traveler" or "I'm a slider" route. She must be Yuno Gasai, it would be too lame for her to be just a fake with another name and history.

Concluding, Mirai Nikki is proving itself as a very entertaining series with lots of twists and a solid story. I'm looking forward to watch and blog about the future episodes as well.
See you soon,
