Today we'll talk about the sixth episode of the winter season 2011/2012 anime series Nisemonogatari that continues with the trend shown in the other episodes and focus itself on all the other girls except the supposedly main heroines Karen and Tsukihi!
Yes, today was Senjougahara's turn again and we got plenty of subtle fanservice and interesting dialogue between the two lovers. We also finally understood the reason of Hitagi's short hair in most anime commercials!
She's going to cut her hair as soon as she settle her business with Kaiki at the end of this Karen's arc. I'm really eager for this to happen as I definitely prefer her in short hair!
The episode shift away from the two sisters (at home) in order to advance the story after Koyomi takes half of the sickness from Karen. Koyomi goes out in order to pursue Kaiki and put end to the curse saving in this way Karen.
In order to do so prepare a plan with Senjougahara, but (as expected) Karen run away to settle the business alone and Koyomi is left with no chance other than asking Shinobu for help.
The question is, what is the state of Karen at this point? Shaft deliberately didn't show her figure at the very end leaving us wonder if she undercome some kind of transformation due to the curse.
Yes guys, it seems that Hanekawa is, after all, Hitagi's master! I wonder how evil is Hanekawa behind that cute face in order to give this massive effect on Hitagi's personality..P
By the way, I liked how they played around showing up Hitagi's body from various positions without delving into too much fanservice in this episode. It's a bit refreshing compared to the treatment the other girls got.
At this point the only girl without a proper fanservice scene is Hanekawa (and well Tsukihi that will get it in her route), but hopefully they'll fix this little issue soon.
By the way, the more I listen to Karen's opening song, the more I'm liking it (I'm eagerly waiting for the single). I hope they'll do a great job on Tsukihi's opening song as well!
Next episode will get us a face-to-face between Karen (in whatever new form she is now) and Koyomi and at the same time Hitagi against Kaiki. How will they convince Kaiki to remove the curse from Karen?
What will Senjougahara do in order to get revenge from Kaiki? I'm especially curious because I do think he will be the enemy in the next arc as well...(due to well...lack of other characters...)
Concluding, while Nisemonogatari is really going slow in terms of story development (making me think that the whole series will be just for the stories of the two sister), I'm really enjoying the run.
I'll continue watching and blogging about this in the future as well.
