Hello everyone,
Let's go talk about the sixth episode of the anime series Senki Zesshou Symphogear that continues the development of Hibiki's personality/powers and prepare the stage for the upcoming arc climax in which hopefully Kris will turn to the good side.
After this episode, I'm still unsure if Ryouko is actually the blonde woman (witch?!) leading Kris into battle, even if they really look like. Maybe they're sisters or something similar?!
I'm also starting to feel really sorry for Kris, after the initial "I am powerful" scene against Tsubasa she has been owned twice by Hibiki, a girl with no battle knowledge whatsoever. It must be hard for her to suffer this humiliation...
The episode is mostly focused around Hibiki's growth in character after her new encounter with Tsubasa in the hospital. She even manage to find her own way of fighting and even her own song (even if I prefer the old one to be honest...).
Tsubasa on the other hand switched mode from Tsun Tsun to Dere Dere (these blushing scenes were quite cute) and everything seems to imply that we'll get the awaited triangle relationship between Miku, Tsubasa and Hibiki.
This is especially true now that Miku is involved in the events as a victim and knows of the reasons Hibiki left her multiple times. She may, at the moment, even think of Tsubasa as Hibiki's new "love"...
Yep, like you can see in this little video, the positions between Tsubasa and Hibiki are basically reverted compared to the first couple of episodes with Tsubasa passively receiving the energetic personality of Hibiki.
I'll be honest and say that I don't dislike the new Tsubasa, she is quite cute and if properly developed she can become a fierce enemy for Miku! :D
I wonder if Kanade will never make another appearance in the future as it would be a waste of a promising character. Will they keep her as a memory till the very end or will they play a twist to us?!
Next episode will probably be focused on two different story branches. The first is around Miku and her newfound knowledge that Hibiki is fighting the noise in order to protect her. What will be her reaction? Jealousy for Tsubasa?
The second is around Kris, because I'm thinking that she will get captured by Hibiki that will probably try to heal her sad past of which we got a glimpse of flashback in this episode.
Will Kris join the main heroines leaving the blonde woman alone? Or will she remain in the position of a tragic heroine fighting against the "good side"?!
Concluding, Senki Zesshou Symphogear is still proving itself to be an entertaining series. Nothing exceptional, but coherent and interesting till now.
