Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the fifth episode of the anime series Ano Natsu de Matteru that start up with a very nice twist the new arc after the introduction of the characters in the story and their relationships.
Yes, I'm talking about Tetsurou going straight to our protagonist in order to tell him that Kanna is in love with him. This revelation has an added value thanks to the fact that Ichika overheard the whole discussion and now know that she is not the only one interested in the protagonist.
I was completely not expecting such a development and I was taken by surprise this time around. What will happen now? Will our protagonist face Kanna or will he continue to ignore the fact for at least another couple of episodes? (this second chance is the most probable in my opinion)
This episode was entirely focused around Kanna getting jealous over the relationship that is being build piece after piece between Ichika and the protagonist while Tetsurou tries his best to help and support her in this relationship.
It is ironic that just as the protagonist didn't know anything of Kanna's feelings for him, Kanna is equally oblivious to Tetsurou's feelings for her and Tetsurou is even more oblivious to Mio's feeling for him. Nice couples I would say! :D
The drama in this episode didn't look forced like I was expecting and I'm quite liking the progression of the love story till this point. I'm expecting great things from Ano Natsu de Matteru.
Yes guys, Remon knows everything of everyone in this story! I can't believe a simple coincidence managed to create that setting reflecting Ichika's life and goals with that bullseye precision as shown in this episode.
What is she? An alien inspector overlooking earth? One of the "man in black" Ichika is so scared of, or what? She's definitely not a simple, cute high school girl! :P
On the positive side, I loved the scene in which Rinon act cool with the gun in order to save Ichika. I wonder why nobody doubt the origin of such a strange and smart creature.
By the way, my favourite character remain Kanna by a very far margin and judging from the quantity of fan art available on the net I'm not the only one who loves her!
Next episode will be the obligatory beach episode at Okinawa with all the characters in some rather revealing swimsuit. I'm extremely looking forward to my dear Kanna, she's so lovely in the preview shot...
We'll probably get to see how our protagonist/Ichika will react to the new information they got from Tetsurou. Will their relationship change?
Concluding, I'm extremely happy of the progression of Ano Natsu de Matteru till this point and I'm extremely eager to know how this complex love polygon will be resolved.
I'll continue to watch and blog about this in the future as well.
