Hello,
Today we'll talk about the fifth episode of the anime series Nisemonogatari that continues with the development of Karen's story (named "Karen's bee") without forgetting to deliver quality fanservice of the cute and energetic sister!
The more I think about this episode the less I think that Kaiki is a con artist. I mean, he was able to take down Karen (a pretty energetic fellow) in a millisecond using an invisible bee by simply touching her!
At the same time I'm not really sure his motives are really only money, especially if I think about the time he was strolling around Kanbaru's house trying to sense something. What is his relationship with her?!

This episode continues the right from the other with Tsukihi explaining to Koyomi the truth behind Karen's sickness that seems to be a curse received from Kaiki. We are also shown the scene in which Karen faced Kaiki in order to convince him to stop deceiving middle schoolers.
I'm becoming more and more wary of Hanekawa's intervention in the life of the two sisters! She's probably more dangerous than even Kaiki himself... She has some kind of aura that I really can't understand.
I have to commend Koyomi for his resistance to Karen. I mean, she was really beautiful with her long hair in this episode's fanservice scenes. I think she can fight at the same level with Nadeko at this point...:|
Okay, when I first watched this scene I was completely with a "WTF" face all over. The only way for Koyomi to transmit this curse to himself is to kiss with his sister Karen?!
And Koyomi is, without any kind of reluctance or guilt, going to kiss his sister in order to reduce her (well-deserved) pain?! I'll be honest, I'm so envious of the moment...:P
By the way, I don't remember Kaiki kissing Karen in order to pass her the curse, so I'm sure there must be another way around this...

What we need to understand is how the curse will react to the vampiric body of Koyomi. He is not a normal human anymore and I'm not really sure he's going to be affected at all by a minor curse like that.
Next episode will probably focus on developing the resolution of Karen's story (I don't think Kaiki will be involved anymore in Karen's story) that will have to complete within two episodes in order to leave enough time for Tsukihi's own storyline.
I wonder when Koyomi is going to reveal in the end to his sisters the truth about himself and the powers he got from his vampiric encounter with Shinobu...

Concluding, Nisemonogatari is proving itself to be one of the best series of this winter season 2011/2012 and I'm extremely looking forward the following episodes in order to know how Karen's story will complete.
I'm going to continue to watch and blog this in the future as well.
See you soon,
