Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the 15th episode of the fall 2011 anime series Guilty Crown that marks the 15th episode of cliche and boring story developments all-around.
In the end after this episode, just like I announced in the last post I decided to drop this series from regular coverage (may do some random post if the story ever get better) in order to make space to more promising/interesting anime series. I'm still quite undecided on what to pick up as new series to cover regularly. (Black rock shooter? Inu X Boku SS?)
But please do not misunderstand me, it's not like Guilty Crown has bad production quality, it's just that the story is so boring and unbelievable that I can't bear to cover it regularly.
Especially after a character I dearly loved (even if she wasn't my favourite character) dies off just to make an idiotic protagonist grow up. I'm also unsure she really managed to do it in the proper way...

The episode developed exactly like I thought with some introduction giving additional space to the character about to be killed off. They made her set up all the death flags that it's possible to put for a single character!
Soon after they switched to a very high paced battle in which the character (Hare in this case) dies to save the protagonist, making him "grow" as a result! (into a murderous machine though...)
The whole development was on-par with the other episodes with various kind of "WTF" moments. Try to think about Ayase shooting a rocket launcher right from her wheelchair. Yes, the same STABLE wheelchair that made her fall like 20 times already!
Well, let's try to forget about all this story and get back to the things that matter as clearly shown in this video! Yes, of course! I'm talking about the girls showcased in this storyline!
Because well, in the end what remain inside my heart of this whole series are just the five girls composing the main cast till this episode and not the unbelievable shounen story they showcased till now.
While my favourite is still Tsugumi (there is probably no one who can stand against her), I won't forget the poor and neglected Hare that died without even being able to properly make Shu grow up as a normal man!

I wonder what happened to Daryl after Shu destroyed his robot, died for the heavy shock? Or he's still alive and kicking ready to kill other main characters? Especially as he seemed to be caring for Tsugumi...
What will happen now? Well, my prediction is that Shu will grow up into the murderous machine using his classmates as weapon in order to reach his goals only to get a "wake up call" at the very end by remembering the people that died for him (Hare, Gai and Mana and probably others in the following episodes)
I'm not sure if they will try a 360° turn around resurrecting all the characters at the very end in order to achieve an happy end, but I surely hope not, otherwise they will just make fun of themselves.

Concluding, I started watching this series with a lot of anticipation, but it ended up to be a quite forgettable shounen series with some pretty girl here and there.
I'll continue to watch this, but I'm not going to cover it regularly anymore.
See you soon,
