Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the fourth episode of the action/comedy anime series of this winter season 2011/2012 named Rinne no Lagrange that continues to deliver an high quality story filled with comedy without ever trying to hard to delve into drama.
This episode is mainly focused around the introduction of the new character named Muginami that should be the last Vox pilot (orange colored one) of the main cast and the deepening of the relationship between Lan and Madoka.
It was a rather nice filler episode very fitting to the style of the anime till now, and I'm quite eager to know more about the story behind the character of Muginami. She is not a proper "friend" yet judging from the reaction in the military base.

In this episode we also had introduction of a new character that seems it will be the new leader of the attacking robots (Ovid). He is the first character till now who really looks evil in Rinne no Lagrange, together with the "closed-eyes" alien assistant.
I'm quite interested in knowing more of his Ovid, he probably will be even more powerful than the other three and will be quite difficult for Madoka to fight with her current capabilities.
At the same time, we get the escape of the younger brother that was confined inside the military base after his defeat to Madoka. We don't know who saved him, but this may open possibilities to some internal conflict inside the base with some traitor favoring the aliens.
And yes, with Lan transferring to the school, what I was expecting finally happened! Lan is scared of being passed by Muginami in terms of Madoka's affection and tries to do everything in order to be together with Madoka.
Lan is growing up in terms of personality and she is becoming a very cute girl in these new episodes, but I wonder what are the reasons behind her affection for Madoka. Simple friendship or pure love?!
At the same time Muginami is quite scary and doesn't look honest in any action she does. She will probably have to face Madoka on her real identity sooner or later, but hopefully their friendship will improve in the future.

At this point, I'm not sure about what will be the progression! They could go with additional battles with new enemies one after another or they could give more filler time to make grow the personality and the relationships of the girls!
Next episode will still be focused on Muginami, in the preview shots we clearly see Madoka talking with the new enemy near the beach and I'm suspecting that the talk is related to the real identity of Muginami.
My speculation is that she may actually be a prisoner aboard the military base, maybe a princess of some rival alien group and at the same time the girl who contracted with the last Vox!

Concluding, Rinne no Lagrange, thanks to the great combination of comedy and action, is proving itself to be one of the best series of this winter season 2011/2012! I'll continue to watch and blog about this series in the future as well..
See you soon,
