Hello everyone,
Here we are for our weekly time with Guilty Crown, one of the fall 2011 anime series, that continues its way on the road of cheesiness by adding new elements to the story, some of which I was even able to predict in the last episode.
Yes, guys...they have a power meter to calculate void powers (Some sort of scouter similar to Dragon Ball). I was like "okay, now we just miss the 'it's over 9000' line", and unfortunately we got it just seconds after when Shu was measuring Inori.
It seems that Inori's power is over 2000 that is, by the way, the limit of this particular power meter. I'm still not sure about why these lowly bandits had such an item, but well...

The episode is entirely focused around the scheming of "the clown" trying to destroy the peaceful atmosphere in the school by putting factions one against another for pure entertainment purposes. (Yes, he's evil!)
We even had some "I'll strip you naked in order to see if you have a mark of the rebels!" scene involving Ayase and some random students. That's no good, bishoujos need to uncloth randomly in front of the protagonist only! That's the rule!
They better warn all the poor students of these undeniable truth otherwise they may die in the same way as the ones who touched Inori... (I'm assuming they are dead)
And here we are, our merry team, smiling like nothing happened, is forcing Tsugumi to show her void power in a comical scene that is probably the best of this episode (or maybe the only one).
Her power turn out to be an item capable of creating copies in an incredible way! This item can have infinite possibilities of use in a war for decoy and tactical warfare.
At the same time, I'm starting to think that power is incredibly useful to settle down our battles for wifes. Too many people claiming Tsugumi? No problem, let's create some copy! :D

Going back to the main story, Shu becomes the student Council president and decide to take the helm in order to save his friends and strike down against the army.
At the same time, we started to see new elements of redemption in Daryl after he was reluctant to see Tsugumi die. I still hate the idea of the two together, but well... There is nothing I can do about it! :(
The ending of the episode was really creepy with Yahiro telling Shu to divide students into categories depending on their void power! While it is a reasonable idea from the war standpoint, I still think that is incredibly unhuman.
It's like telling someone "you are worth nothing based on some random parameters" and I hope they won't leave anyone behind for this reason.

Concluding, while still being entertained by Guilty Crown, I'm starting to think that I'm watching this for the wrong reasons. (Mainly watching the girls go cute)
Regardless I'm going to continue to watch and blog about this in the future as well.
See you soon,
