Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about one of the new comedy anime series of this winter season 2011/2012 named Kill me Baby that sports one of the most hilarious comedy of the last years.
I was a bit on the worried side while waiting for this series in these weeks because it configured itself as a very hit-or-miss comedy anime series with few other redeeming features.
Fortunately, I was wrong to be worried as the series turned out to be pretty good in its first episode giving us plenty of reasons to watch it regularly.

The story revolves around the normal life of three girls named Sonya (an assassin), Yasuna Oribe (a normal girl with a great humor sense) and Agiri Goshiki (a rather laid-back ninja) and never move away from the slice of life 4coma approach of the comedy reminiscent of Lucky Star and similar anime.
The comedy is driven by short segments of 1-2 minutes of story revolving around Yasuna (who looks like the main character of the story) and there is few to none plot continuity at the moment.
The actual jokes aren't anything special, but they're nicely executed by the characters and actually made me laugh more than once in this first episode.
Yes! Sonya while being a fearsome assassin is actually very easy to scare just by mentioning horror stories (ghosts, monsters and such) or even plain dogs.
She's already my favourite character, especially if you add to the top that she's voiced by Mutsumi Tamura that we already know for her role as Dejima (the ero-maid) in Seitokai Yakuindomo.
Nice second for Yasuna Oribe with her energetic personality voiced by Chinatsu Akasaki, a rather new seiyuu (2011 is her first year) with already plenty of main roles (in Sacred Seven as Nanami for example!)

There is actually a fourth character in the story that is a girl named "The rejected character" voiced by our queen Rie Kugimiya that wasn't portrayed in this first episode.
From what I read online, she's a character who was "rejected" from the main cast because her personality got absorbed by Yasuna. She hates Yasuna for this reason.
I'm really happy with both the animation of this series that was polished and very well done and the character design that is exactly the cute type I like.

This is a very good series to pick up in this winter season 2011/2012 if you're fan of random comedy without plot continuity at all.
I'll watch this regularly, but I'll only cover it on the blog if I have anything to say because, as you know, it isn't easy to blog about pure comedy series. :)
See you soon,
