Hello everyone,
Today we'll have another preview (the fourth after Nisemonogatari, Black Rock Shooter and Highschool DxD) and talk about one of the most anticipated romance/comedy anime series of this upcoming Winter season 2011/2012 named Ano Natsu de Matteru.
Apart from this being an entirely original content, we also have the nice addition of being set in the same world as the ever-popular anime series Onegai Teacher that is, in my opinion, one of the classics of anime...
Another nice point of this anime series are the visuals who really looks gorgeous, but I'm a bit wary on this because the studio producing this anime is J.C. Staff and well...you know...:P
The story centers around a boy named Kaito Kirishima (voiced by a rather new seiyuu named Nobunaga Shimazaki) and a girl named Ichika Takatsuki (voiced by the great Haruka Tomatsu known for countless anime series) who find themselves involved into a series of supernatural events while living their summer vacation to the utmost in their little city.
Its a rather light story, but I'm curious about these "supernatural phenomenons" they talk about, because this may definitely spice up the romance and the interactions between our protagonist and the many girls.
There are few information about the plot and the evolution of the story on the net thanks to this being this an original production. It will be nice to speculate every episode on the outcome of the story...
The trailer shows us the animation style (who looks really nice at least in this promotional video) and introduce us on the two protagonists and some of the side characters.
The protagonist looks a bit different from the many harem leads we had till now, and I wonder how he will play out in the situation he is going to be involved with. I counted already 5 girls around him and the anime hasn't even started to air...
By the way I call dibs on Tanigawa Kanna already, her blue hair and energetic-looking personality has charmed me already. (she is the one in the last wallpaper of this post)
Another important thing to say on this series is that the director of Ano Natsu de Matteru is Tatsuyuki Nagai that is the same from "Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai", a series I quite liked and covered in the past.
On the schedule side, Ano Natsu de Matteru will start airing the 09 of January 2012 making it a monday series and an easy pick for me to cover regularly judging from the low number of series I cover in that timeframe.
Concluding, Ano Natsu de Matteru is an anime series on which I'm having great expectations and that I plan to watch and blog regularly.
