Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk about the tenth episode of the action/fanservice anime series Cube X Cursed X Curious that is slowly going to conclude this arc with some big twists right at the very end.
Yes, apart from the "predictable" revelation from Kirika about the nature of her cursed tool and the delicious fanservice scene that ensued around that, we now have some doubts over the real nature of Kuroe.
I also noticed a massive switch of focus from Fear and her problems to Kirika to a point where I'm not really sure Fear is the main heroine anymore...
The episode is mainly divided into three logical parts. The first part focus on the normal life of Fear, Konoha, Kuroe and the protagonist with the first trying to prepare to the dance she has to perform in the cultural festival helped by Konoha.
The second part is entirely dedicated to the battle between the new enemy against our heroes and we get to know that Alice is rather powerful, a lot more than any other enemy faced till now and at the same time she doesn't look like "completely evil".
The third part concludes the Kirika's substory for now with the protagonist watching the true nature of her cursed tool (a cursed tool that need to kill someone in order to appease itself) and easing her worry.
Of course, Cube X Cursed X Curious don't forget about its origin and give us many comedy and fanservice scenes, in between the various plot areas, like this one from the Muramasa and Fear combo.
I like how they pay attention to physics in these little scenes more than in the actual battles between cursed tools. But well, we all knows that fanservice is serious business or not?! :D
Now what? Well, probably the most "canon" prediction I can make is that Kuroe is not completely healed from being a cursed tool and she still needs help, but at the same time I exclude the possibility of her being the true culprit of the murders.
I'm thinking that this whole situation is something organized by the family in order to lure Fear out and capture her while the scientist order is just playing around in order to get additional data for their study.
I'm expecting a "non-conclusive" ending to this season with Fear still fighting against her own curse, especially knowing that there is a lot of additional material to cover in the original light novels.
Concluding, while the series is slowly coming to an end (if the prediction of 1 cour series is confirmed) I'm really enjoying it and I really hope we'll get a second season in the future.
