Hello everyone,
Here we are for our weekly coverage of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, an anime series, adapted from a successfull light novel, that has now reached its seventh episode!
I like how the writer is keeping the basis of the story progression the same without delving into drama too much. The focus of this episode was still on making fun of various "normal" situation looked through the eyes of these students that have "no friends".
I also liked how they're slowly hinting that in the end, this series will likely focus on Kodaka learning of Yozora's position as childhood friend and hopefully unraveling a bit of Sena's past as well. These three are, in the end, the protagonists of this story.

This seventh episode was divided into two main segments. The first focused on the Kodaka/Yukimura relationship with the first suggesting to the second to prepare some lunch for Maria. While the purpose was noble, I am a bit sad of the deep trauma Maria received after that event...:P
I wonder when they're going to "reveal" us that Yukimura is actually a female and the reasons behind her trying to act as a male. Not that anybody really trusted that information, judging by how cute she appears in her maid uniform!
The second segment focused on the discovery of the mobile phone world by Kodaka, Yozora and Sena. It was hilarious to see how they were so excited about all the features that should be common to any high school student these days...maybe that's the way a time traveler from 1960 would feel in the modern world?! :P
Yes, this is scene that I was referring to! Modern technology is scary isn't it, my dear Yozora? Especially if we think that till 15/20 years ago such a functionality was something we could only dream to see in a sci-fi films...
By the way, Yozora continues to bully Sena and I'm really starting to get irritated by the whole situation. Fortunately her bullying sometimes retort against herself like we saw at the very end of this episode with Kodaka actually getting closer to Sena due to Yozora's bullying.
Is that what they call Karma?! Well, let's hope Yozora will finally become more docile in the future. I'm sure she could make a great friendship with Sena, if she only stopped bickering all the time.

Unfortunately, while the comedy and fanservice quality levels are still high, the same can't be said for the animation that is starting to really look weird. There were some short segments of this episode that I could easily define horrible...
Are they trying to promote BD sales in some way or the budget was all spent into making the first episodes looks good? Either way, I'm eagerly waiting for the first BD volume to see what will be the final quality they'll deliver...
Next episode seems to be focusing on a pool episode just like the one with Kodaka/Sena, but this time with the whole cast present. This means some delicious Kobato/Yukimura/Rika swimsuit time!

Concluding, the outlook of this series is still positive even if the animation quality is dropping episode after episode!
I'm looking forward to watch and blog about the future episodes of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai...
See you soon,
