Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk about the sixth episode of the noitaminA fall 2011 show named Guilty Crown that seems to have completed the first prologue of the series and is now ready to go to the real meat of the show...
...or well that is my hope, because after the request of Gai to delete all Shu's involvement in the rebels operation, I'm terribly scared everything will go toward a indefinite number of episodes focusing on Shu and Inori doki doki school-life...
On another side, it is deeply hinted in this episode that Inori may really be a clone of a long dead girl that is somehow related to both Gai and Shu at the same time, not sure about the kind of relationship though as she is shown as a rather grown up girl in the flashback...
Honestly, why am I getting Star Driver vibes here? I just hope it won't end up in a classical triangle relationship between Gai, Inori and Shu like in that series...

The episode focus completely on the mission to take control of the satellite weapon, and Shu's conflict with both Inori and Gai. From this conflict Shu grow up a bit and even manage to send a punch to a extremely weak Gai.
Yes, this is one of the things that really left me a bit wondering. How in the hell Gai, a man that is not able to pick up an item from the ground alone has been able to defeat a mecha while jumping around avoiding bullet shells?! For a split second I thought, "Hey where is Gilgamesh? Assassin is dancing, but he's nowhere to be seen..."
Also, how pathetic is this GHQ Military? A powerful army that know well before of the incursion defeated by a group of teenagers with no real military experience at all? I decided that from today I'll apply the strongest sense of "suspension of disbelief" in order to continue enjoy this series.
And here we have the big new info of the episode. Void from different users can combine to each other creating more powerful weapons, for example in this case we got an incredibly powerful cannon by merging the pistol from the little guy with the big sword of Inori!
With this knowledge the possibilities of Shu's power are increased by a magnitude allowing nearly infinite possible combinations of weapons. I wonder how Gai will manage to use all this in order to free Japan from the oppression of GHQ...
Ah, by the way, if you didn't notice already, the seer Gai knew everything about the receiver pen even before Shu told him anything. The only thing lacking was a nice "Just as planned" told in Gai lecherous voice...:D

Fortunately for us there was another faction going on the "Just as planned" route. Yes, because we know from the very end of the episode that GHQ was actually predicting and hoping for this conclusion. Why? Because thanks to this everything is in place for "her" revival.
But the question now is, who is the "her" GHQ is referring to? The girl inside Inori? If yes, why is she so important to both GHQ and Gai and what is her relationship with Shu?
Next episode will likely go back to be a slow one with Shu returning to school and maybe some progress in his relationship with Inori. I wonder what kind of talk he will have with the traitor that sold him to GHQ in exchange for treatment of his brother...

While a bit puzzled by the latest episode a bit "over-the-top" events, I'm still greatly enjoying the series and I'm eagerly waiting to watching and blog the next episode as well...
See you soon,
