Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk again about the fifth, sixth and seventh episode of the anime series Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai that is continuing to troll us straying away from the actual game material creating a whole new storyline with the same characters.
Yes, if you were wondering on why the story seems rushed and really don't make much sense, it is because its not picked up at all from the original game it should be based on.
The idea (or maybe hope) that linger in my mind is that the series is mixing/adapting some content from the fandisc with the original story of the game. Unfortunately trying to fit 50+ hours of game in 12 episode isn't the most easy job out there...
The fan disc, by the way, is going to be released on January 2012 and is going to contain some random side-stories and a full-new heroine (Tsubame).

After all, this anime series sometimes strays off from the real game far and wide like with the Kokoro centric episode and the festival episode, but at the same time sometimes goes near to the true ending adaptation with Yamato getting nearly kidnapped by the three sisters in the seventh episode.
While I'm still liking the adaptation (I always wanted to see my lovely characters being animated) I can understand the stress of the people trying to make sense of such a random story.
But let me try to explain the storyline from the original game basing ourselves on the true ending that is the most "near" judging from the content of the anime adaptation.
The true story in the game is all focused on the relationship of friendship between the whole Kazama family and start with some situations that destroy the peace and stability of the group. (differently from all the other routes where the group remain unite for the whole duration of the story while facing their enemies)

The first situation is Momoyo's power (she's unbeatable in all the routes of the game regardless of the enemy) being sealed by the old master after being framed by the renegade member shown in the seventh episode.
The other is Yamato getting kidnapped by the three sisters (under orders of a mysterious client revealed only at the very climax of the route) and took away leaving the Kazama's family without a brain (Yamato) and without the strongest member (Momoyo).
Now, what is all this story around that robotic girl shown at the very end of the seventh episode that is seemingly able to fight at the same level with Momoyo? The military girls shown at the beginning are also completely novel material that I never heard about...
Yamato also seems will not be kidnapped anytime soon, so I think we're in for some surprises in the future episodes...
Now with that said, I still love all the little scenes whenever Yukie appear and I think I'll just take this anime as a gift for the fans of the original game like me!
After all, the only thing that is exactly the same from the visual novel to the anime is the personality and voice of all the girls! It's really wonderful to see them move around, talk and act exactly like I thought they would...
I hope that the BD releases are going to remove that annoying censoring leaving us free to use this series as a sort of "add-on" to complement the original wonderful game. (which I plan to play again sooner or later...)

Concluding, I am still going to watch this series till the very end, but I'm not going to suggest this to anyone who is not a fan of the original game or is just looking for just some mindless fun with cute girls...
See you soon,
