Hello everyone,
This evening we'll talk about the seventh episode of the anticipated action/drama anime series named Fate/Zero that is nearing the end of the first arc with the two battles between Caster and the pair Lancer/Saber and Kiritsugu against Archibald.
We had in this episode some really disgusting scenes involving Caster, but I hope his death will be soonish so that we can concentrate in well coordinated battles more than gruesome details.
I am really interested in what Kiritsugu is preparing for the next episode, as that smirk at the very end of the episode just shouted to me "just as planned". :P
The episode, as usual with Fate/Zero, was mostly talk and development with Risei offering three command marks in exchange for Caster's death and elimination from the competition.
Soon after we get an heart-breaking sequence of Saber asking to attack Caster and being ignored by Kiritsugu, scene in which Iris seems to be the one suffering more then everyone. She's really the angel of this series...
Fortunately, Caster decide that it is time to meet her beloved and break through the barrier put by Iris in the forest with some hostages in order to pull Saber out.
The battle between Kiritsugu and Archibald was really incredible, and I really liked the innate time control capabilities of Kiritsugu! That power is really something useful, especially if paired with the scabbard of Excalibur!
I am curious about what power Kiritsugu will use in order to defeat Archibald, but I'm sure it will be something fabulous!
I'm also interested in the role that Archibald's wife is going to have in this battle, she seems to be powerful and pretty fond of a Lancer's well being...
The Caster class is definitely at disadvantage when fighting against two melee classes and I think he won't survive long, especially against Saber's holy weapon!
What now? I think that this first season will end up with the defeat of Caster and probably of Lancer as well. This is necessary in order to leave enough time to explore the other battles in the second season.
I'm still not entirely sure if Caster's master will die or not, but I hope that it will happen by his servant's hands, as some sort of punishment!
Concluding, as you can deduce, I'm extremely eager to watch and blog the next 8th episode just hoping it will get even better than the already wonderful 7th!
