Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk about the fourth and fifth episode of the much anticipated anime series Shakugan no Shana III that is currently on-air in japanese televisions in this packed fall season 2011.
I am sincerely impressed by these two episodes. They managed to create a nice combination between plot advancement, battles and a little bit of cuteness and really got me wanting for more and more!
I like the way Shana past is slowly being revealed together with details of her poor heritage (she was really cute as a child...), the recruiting as a flame haze, etc...

The fourth episode focus on Yuuji fighting the three flame hazes present in Misaki City and kidnapping Shana away to his palace. The battle was really one-sided with Yuuji weakening and defeating all the flame hazes one by one.
I was prepared to see Margery go crazy again, but it was nice to finally know the reasons behind the Silver phenomenon and her involvement in the downfall of her family.
Shana, in the end, was pretty much powerless in front of Yuuji and ended up fighting not at her maximum power. I am not sure about her reasons, but maybe in order not to hurt the Yuuji is still inside that body...

The fifth episode skips a bit in time and show us a captive Shana in the Seirei-den remembering her past and life with the leader of the flame hazes (a nun from the looks of it) before coming to Misaki City.
Her powers are restraint by a chain magical item and she doesn't have either Nietono no Shana or Alastor making her just a little cute princess more than a fearsome magical warrior.
She also shows for the first time in this season the emotion of Fear in front of Yuuji. Her personality is slowly shifting in this series and it seems that in this season we'll get a reversal of the position between the two lovers with Yuuji taking the "powerful-and-invulnerable" role.
Hecate is right and tremendously sincere right now! She's not yours Sydonay, she's mine! So please shut up you old man!
I'm not sure what are the three leader of the Bal Masque preparing, but I have a bad feeling for the flame hazes that are going to attack that palace. Without Shana, Margery and Alastor's deus ex machina power, their possibilities of defeating that massive tomogara army is very slim.
Next episode will go back to another of our characters that is now captive at the flame haze headquarter where he'll get to know one of the new flame hazes that will become part of the main cast.

Concluding, I'm happy with the work J.C. Staff is doing in this series and I'm eagerly waiting for new episodes in order to know what will be the fate of our heroines!
See you soon,
