Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the first four episodes of the fall 2011 season anime series named Ben-To that has been one of the surprises (in a good sense) we got in this season.
The series storyline is very simple and focus on a group of students fighting to get an half-priced bento from the supermarket every day due to school dormitory regulations that doesn't provide them any food.
Did this look strange to you? Don't worry, as long as you turn off your brain for the whole duration of the episode you'll enjoy this series a lot.

There isn't really much to talk about the storyline of each single episode due to their "slightly out of the world" plot and generally non-sense atmosphere.
Fortunately its the characters to drive this series and making it a great one. All the girls present in this show has some quirk or special point to make them interesting.
From the cool beauty Sen Yarizui that is definitely the most beautiful of the group to the cheerful friend Hana Oshiroi that is by far the most amiable of the group.
Of course my favourite is the cold, yuri-hunter (that scene in the fourth episode was really awesome...:P), zettai-ryouiki heroine Shiraume Ume.
She is not the most beautiful, nor the most dere/amiable of the group, but the combination of personality and looks makes her the best choice for me. I officially call dibs for her! :P
Nice second for Sen Yarizui, I always liked the kind of character she represent and combined with her beauty its a win-win situation.

This series is also sporting one of the most sexy character design we got in this fall season fighting on the same level of Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai.
There is a good share of fanservice as well and I'm quite impressed by the work done by David Production. I'll keep an eye for their future productions.
On the seiyuu side I'm loving Aoi Yuuki's role as Hana Oshiroi and Mamoru Miyano's role as Yuu "The wizard" Kaneshiro, but I think that all the seiyuu are doing a nice job portraying the characters.

Concluding I'm very happy with the series till now and I suggest it to anyone looking for some random mindless fun.
I'll probably blog again about this in the future, but I don't think I'll be covering this regularly.
See you soon,
