Hello everyone,
Let's talk about the first and second episode of the anime series Mirai Nikki that is currently airing in this fall season 2011 that have the most cute stalker character that I remember of in the last couple of years.
Yes, apart from the interesting story/setting the main feature of this show is definitely Yuno Gasai, the cute stalker following our protagonist like a shadow night and day.
I can say it clearly here, I feel that I would like to get stalked by such a cute girl after all. Her mannerism, voice and looks are incredibly good even for anime standards...I just have to be careful to be always on her dere/good side. :P
The first episode makes us know the main setting of the game and the main two characters (Yuno and our protagonist) while killing off one of the player (the third/teacher).
There is also a prophetic vision at the very beginning of Yuno near a dead protagonist. I wonder if that's the future or just a cliffhanger...
Strangely I don't feel irritated as much as I thought from the character coward personality, nor from the big quantity of violence present in the series. I suppose that, if done right, both can co-exist in a anime series.
The second episode continue to keep the tension high with a terrorist (player as well) trying to kill our protagonist by bombing his school while a policeman (player as well) try to protect him.
The pace was extremely high for the whole episode and it was really a nice change of pace, especially if compared with the others "action" series of this season.
I still haven't really memorized all the names apart from our two main characters, but I think that will come with time...
As you can see, Yuno is like the queen of stalkers. Sometimes acting cute like now, sometime acting crazy like when she started jumping around the classes making everyone explode.
I have to commend to Tomosa Murata for her role as Yuno in this series. While being the first series she has done in a leading role, she's doing a wonderful job.
I hope she'll get a lot more roles in famous anime series after this. (her only other role was as Iris Eris in Densetsu Yuusha no Densetsu)
Concluding, I'm extremely positive about this series and I'll keep looking the future episodes as well.
I'll probably blog about this regularly depending on the quality of the future episodes.
