Hello,
Today we'll talk about the much anticipated first episode of the anime series Guilty Crown that started with a really great first episode showing how much powerful is the personality of the main heroine Inori Yuzuriha.
I was highly anticipating this series as it is one of the few animes part of the noitaminA project (the same as [C] and other series) and they generally have with interesting plots/premise and nice production values.

The first episode showcased part of the characters (at least the main four that I can recognize from the promotional videos as well) that will follow us through the whole story and described with details the world and, more in detail, the Japan in which this storyline is set.
A Japan ravaged by a deadly virus that killed a massive quantity of people, that is "saved" by foreign powers and in the end become controlled by the same in a dystopian society in which freedom is just merely a facade for the military control.
In the midst of this world we have a pretty normal guy that tries to live his life away from society that find himself being "not-so-normal" in light of the events shown at the very end of this first episode.

We had a lot of great moments in this episode like the action-packed beginning with a poor Yuzuriha trying to run away from mechas, the great exposition of the story's background, and the goddess-like song of Inori Yuzuriha right at the beginning of the episode.
The moment that most intrigued me is definitely the flashback scenes from our protagonist in two different occasions; when he first encountered Yuzuriha and right before extracting the sword from her body.
He was definitely remembering something horrible from his past, and it seems that Yuzuriha is not a complete stranger to him. I also saw glimpse of him awakening the same power in the past and ending up berserk or something.
What can I add to this wonderful video? Inori Yuzuriha is definitely the most attracting/beautiful/sexy character of this fall season 2011 and I doubt any of the other characters can ever reach this level.
I liked the graphical designs they choose to use for the characters even if I wasn't exactly impressed by the quality of the animation overally as there were some minor problems in some action-packed scenes.
The seiyuu voice-over was very well done and, as you can probably already predict, my favourite voice is definitely Ai Kayano in Inori Yuzuriha's role!

Concluding, I'm extremely happy with the actual outlook of Guilty Crown and I'll continue to blog about it in the future as well.
See you soon,
