Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk of the second episode of the anime series Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, that continues (despite what many other bloggers on the anime blogosphere are saying) to be one of the most interesting series of this fall season 2011.
The series with this second episode finally explains the setting of the storyline and clear out that "confusion" generated by the first action-based episode and let us familiarize a bit more with the characters they presented in the first episode.

The episode start out with a school history lesson in which they explain the reasons of the war between the two civilizations and the reasons behind the history reproduction that is a method for the humans to try to regain their lost land.
One of the first and most important revelation of this episode is that "Horizon" has died long time ago and the Horizon our protagonist is going to declare his love to is actually an android.
I'm not entirely sold to the concept she's really entirely an android, because from the way she talked with the trap girl near the grave, she had some small light of "humanity".
Yes, our protagonist (and his "sister") are terribly funny, just as most of the cast shown till now. Not to mention that pretty much all the girls shown till now are incredibly beautiful.
I like the whole atmosphere of peace they're giving in these first couple of episodes, even if I think it won't last long. Especially judging by the last couple of minutes with an evil looking old man talking about "fireworks".
My prediction/speculation is that some attack will happen during the night and our protagonist will have to go and save Horizon. (or maybe Horizon will go and save him?!)

The visual quality is kept at the high levels shown in the first episode (the animation is beautiful and consistent) and I'm really impressed by the overall quality of the production that Sunrise is showcasing in this series. It is ages better compared to Sacred Seven.
I'm loving pretty much all the seiyuu's voices working on this series, especially Jun Fukuyama's role as our protagonist Tori Aoi and Chiwa Saitou's role as our protagonist's sister Kimi Aoi.
I'm not impressed till now by Minori Chihara's role as Horizon, but I reserve my judgement for the future because, after all, she talked only a few times in these two episodes.

Concluding, I'm happy with the outlook of Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon and I'm extremely looking forward the following episodes.
See you soon,

P.S. Suzu Mukai is so damn cute! *_* (she's the timid girl reading the history essay at the beginning of the episode)
