Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the first episode aired of the third and final season of the famous anime series Shakugan no Shana that we all were waiting for.
Yes, we finally get back to business with Shana trying to find a vanished Yuuji together with the help of Yoshida! (they ally themselves when it comes down to Yuuji's welfare)
From the look of the first episode the series hasn't lost that combination of action and drama, but judging from the fact that Yuuji is missing the school segments will be reduced to nothing and that's a good thing.

The series start with a bang showing us a Shana and Yuuji (how lame he looks in his "new form") fighting against each other in a desolated battlefield filled with rinne.
Watching Shana cut hundreds of enemies one after another was really a nice sight and somehow a nostalgic view as a lot of time is passed from the time I saw the first season!
Unfortunately the battle last only a few minutes before they return to the present where Shana is trying to cope up with Yuuji's disappearance.

The real episode made a nice job portraying our characters once again and letting us familiarize again with their faces, personality and their situation after the happenings of the last two seasons.
I honestly still can't bear the two guys around Margery, but well at least one of the two understood how foolish is for a normal human to sneak around the flame haze while they battle.
We also had a quick fanservice scene for Shana and it was damn funny to see that the first thing Shana thought of when remembering Yuuji was him entering the bathroom when she was naked.
As you can see J.C. Staff hasn't forgotten how to animate a Shana series filled with special effects and colorful power. I really can't get enough of Margery bear form!
By the way Shana is training hard to become more powerful, I wonder if she already has some doubts over why Yuuji disappeared from her sight or this is just a preparation to fight the Bal Masque...
Either way she'll be in for a big surprise as soon as she knows that Yuuji have maked a pact with the devil (No, not with Kyuubey I hope...) and is now an enemy.

I liked a lot this first episode and I'll be blogging this regularly while having great expectation for this series future episodes.
I just hope they decide to give my lovely Hecate somehow a little more screen-time...:P
See you soon,
