Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk about another of the new series (ouch, still so many to blog about...) of this packed fall 2011 season, one of the series we already talked about in the past and that I was waiting with great expectation.
I'm talking about Shin Megami Tensei Persona 4, the anime adaptation of one of the most successfull rpg game of the PS2, featuring the most cheerful and energetic character of this season in Chie Satonaka.

Differently from the other series we talked about in the last couple of days where the first episode was dedicated to introductions or showcasing of characters, in this case we jump directly into the action with a murder case and various supernatural happenings.
I was rather feeling a bit out-of-place after learning that our protagonist behave basically like a lifeless doll for the whole episode till the very end when he suddently become incredibly creepy and dangerous looking (in the stalkerish meaning of the word).
When he started laughing and stripping in the middle of the battle scene while saying something about his power I was like "Chie, wake up and run away. He's the real enemy! You're in danger!". I mean who do he think he is?! Hosaka-Senpai?!
This series sports some of the most beautiful character design of this season (they're the most original at least), and as you can see, Chie is basically the incarnation of what I like in a girl. Energetic, carefree and cute!
I'm still on the fence in deciding my favourite character as for now because I still have to see all the rest of the cast, especially giving that Rise (the missing girl) is probably the most beautiful out of the pack.
Yukiko seems too "normal" to be interesting, but I'll keep my judgement on her till the end, especially because that type of normal girl generally reserve some surprise down the road. (Maybe she's a yandere?! :D)

On the production side, I wasn't really impressed by the work of the animation studio. Let me correct myself, the animation by itself was decent and pretty consistent with no major screw-up.
The problem is that it just wasn't on par with the level of quality shown in Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon airing in this season as well. Well AIC just isn't on the same level of Sunrise it seems...
Another important note of this series is the music/sound, that's one thing I'm really rooting for. The opening/ending song are great, but I was amused to see that even the background songs during the series were of high quality. I'm eagerly waiting for the OST to come out!

That's all for this post, I hope they'll continue to keep up the quality as I'm hoping for a great story in this anime.
I'll be blogging this fairly regularly depending on the availability of time in the week.
See you soon,
