Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about a series I wanted to review a lot of time ago (the OVA version of it aired November/December 2010) that finally got a full TV series in this packed fall season 2011.
I'm talking about the only series I know that is able to fight at the same level with Aria in terms of peaceful scenery and cuteness overload. Yes, I'm talking of Tamayura...

The premise of the series is quite simple pretty much resembling what they've done for Aria and there is little to no plot continuity between the various episodes in the OVA. (Not sure about what they will do in this new one)
We have a girl that loves photography named Fu Sawatari (voiced by the great Ayana Taketatsu) following the footsteps of her late father that also loved photography.
Her personality is shy and together with her childhood friend Karou Hanawa (Kana Asumi) and the two new friends Maon Sakurada (Yuko Gibu) and Norie Okazaki (Yuka Iguchi) explore the peaceful world that surrounds her.
I tried hard to pick up the most comedy inducing scene of the first episode of the series. This series doesn't have much comedy and just like Aria (and most pure-slice-of-life series) focus the stories on the normal life of these girls and all the "cute!!!" feelings their actions create in us.
My favourite character at the moment is the cute protagonist Fu Sawatari! She's definitely a walking pillar of cuteness! :D

One important thing you need to know is that this series is directed by the same guy of all three season of Aria (Junichi Satou), so you'll probably recognize soon his style and touch in pretty much all the scenes.
The production is in the hands of "Hal Film Maker" that is famous for many other slice of life series like Aria, Sketchbook ~full color's~ (together with other genres of series as well) and is doing till now a great job in portraying our girls.
The quality of the TV series is till now at the same level of the OVA and I hope they'll be able to keep it for the rest of the series.

I'm looking forward to the following episodes of this series, but I don't plan to blog this regularly (maybe a post every 3/4 episodes?!).
This is because, as you know, there really isn't much to talk about in Slice of Life series each and every week.
See you soon,
