Hello,
Today we'll go cover another of the series I'm going to watch and blog about into this packed Fall anime season 2011.
The anime series we're going to talk is called Shin Megami Tensei Persona 4 (slated for 25 episodes) and is based off a RPG game for the PlayStation 2 with the same name that got a very high success in the past years.
If Metacritic is anything to go by we have 90/100 as Critic metascore and 9.1/10 as User score, both levels are considered "Universal Acclaim" in the Metacritic scale...

If you remember, some years ago we got another adaptation of the Shin Megami Tensei saga of games named Persona - Trinity Soul.
That adaptation was really just a spin-off mash-up of concepts based on the game Persona 3 that ended up being just a mediocre production. (I'll have to review it sooner or later...)
This new series has a lot of potential since it is going to adapt the real game as it is (no frills) and judging from reviews/previews around the blogosphere and various game websites we're in for some great storyline mixed with nice characters interaction.
To add to the top we have the director from Angel Beats/Kamisama Dolls at the helm of this production! What can we ask for more?!
Well, this is exactly what I expect from a promotional video. Great music/song, a nice vocalist (even if whenever I listen to the "english" they talk I cringe a bit) and some nice teaser scenes for us to feast on.
Hell we even had a cute scene from one of the heroine named Doujima Nanako right at the end! (She's already my top "cute" character of the series. :P)

The graphical production for this series is in the hands of AIC A.S.T.A. that is the same company responsible for the animation of titles like Bamboo Blade, GunXSword. Even if Persona's character design is quite unique, I'm fairly confident they'll do a nice job this time as well.
On the seiyuu side we have plenty of famous names like Ami Koshimizu in Yukiko Amagi's role, Yui Horie in Chie Satonaka's role, Rie Kugimiya in Rise Kujikawa's role and many others!
I'm also looking forward to Shihoko Hirata's songs (for OP and ED), I quite liked the theme songs I heard for the game and I hope she'll keep the same style for the anime adaptation as well.
Just for your reference, the song you heard in the promotional video is the future Opening song named "Sky's the limit" sung by Shihoko Hirata!

Shin Megami Tensei Persona 4 is a series that done right can become a masterpiece, they just have to adapt the work faithfully and everything will be fine!
October 6 is so far away...
See you soon,
