Hello everyone,
Today we'll complete the coverage of the loli basketball anime series Ro Kyu Bu, that with a last emotional build up during the final match completed its run.
The story concluded itself in a very open-end way leaving plenty of chances for a possible second season in the future. (depending on DVD sales I suppose)
Sorry for the late post today as well, but I'm getting hooked to the MajiKoi drama cds. I started listening to them to prepare myself for the anime and the future (January 2012) fandisk, but its slowly getting out of hand...:P

These three episodes of Ro Kyu Bu were nothing out-of-the-ordinary with a repetition of the classic combination we already saw in the past in this same series.
The drama (Maho running away after learning the truth about the number requirement in the regular matches) with the emotional scene (Saki going to the rescue) and the consequent resolution with Maho being ready to challenge the enemy once again.
I liked the fact that they made the main characters lose at the very end as it would have been too cheesy to make them win at the last split second this time as well...
What probably everyone understood by now is that this series is entirely based on the characters and has no other remarkable merit other than that.
It could easily be called a chara-anime (definition adapted from the chara-gè "word") and it is a good one at it with plenty of amiable characters to choose from.
If you exclude the old female teacher of the enemy school there wasn't any character I really hated in this whole story and that's always a good thing in a light hearted anime series
I choose Aoi as my favourite character, her tsundere personality combined with her mature body is quite a dangerous combination as you can clearly see in this video! :D
I wonder what they're going to do in the DVD/BD. Are they going to remove completely that fog or they'll give this series the same bad treatment Hidan no Aria received in its BD volumes?

Concluding, this series had chances to become a remarkable series, but ended up (thanks to the really bad animation and the forced drama at some points) to obtain a mediocrity level in my rankings.
Visual Points : 645/1000 (It could've been lower, but the last scenes were somehow better...)
Audio Points : 790/1000 (I liked both OP, ED and most of the cast's voices)
Story Points : 680/1000 (Nothing exceptional to see here, but I wasn't bored of it)
Entertainment Points : 770/1000 (It has been a fun run, especially with Subaru's lines)
Characters Points : 825/1000 (Hands down here, the characters were all lovable!)
Final Points : 14.745/20.000
The series is ranked 128th over 164 series in my rankings (Updated to 28/09/2011 00:48)
See you soon,
