Hello everyone,
Yes, after much waiting for the item to get again in stock, I finally received at my home my lovely Makise Kurisu in Nendoroid form created by Good Smile Company.
This time I used EMS as international courier (after the bad experience with Federal Express) that charged me correctly the customs fees of only a couple of bucks.
Why Kurisu Makise and not Mayuri Shiina, that is my favourite character, you say? Well, it was honestly an hard choice, but in the end I've gone for the one with the better look and decided to pick up the beautiful nendoroid of Kurisu drawn in the original Huke style.
Makise Kurisu, a genius scientist and neuroscience researcher at the early age of 18 in an american university, is one of the character that got the most personality development during the anime adaptation of the series Steins Gate and in my opinion should get the "most developed character of the summer season 2011".
She started as a rather clumsy/tsuntsun girl when she first met Okabe in the conference on time travel and step by step she started to grow up as character with each timeline jump.
The development of the love between the two, strangely for an anime series, never looked forced. It was something so natural that even me, as hardcore Mayuri fan, ended up aknowledging as truth.
The nendoroid, as you can see, follows closely the great graphical style created by Huke inside the visual novel original work of Steins Gate (and not at all the also good anime style).
There are quite some spare arms/faces (I heard its something quite normal in Good Smile Company's products), but after many changes I decided that the flustered face was the best to show in this photo.
I mean, who can resist to a blushing deredere Makise Kurisu?!
With this we complete the coverage of my second figure in this little post.
I am now planning the next figure to pick up and I narrowed it to two possible candidate that are Nymph from Sora no Otoshimono and Konjiki no Yami from To Love Ru scheduled respectively for November and December. I'm though, still terribly undecided...>_<
