Hello everyone,
Here we are to talk for the last time about the cutest anime series of this summer season 2011 named Ikoku Meiro no Croiseè starring our two great heroines Alice Blanche and Yune exploring the Paris of the 19th century.
Today after much waiting I watched the last three episodes numbered 10th, 11th and 12th (yes, I was quite behind with the air) and as always with this series I got enwrapped in a lovely environment filled with heartwarming stories...

Let's star with the 10th episode that talks about the time Yune spends with Alice and Oscar in the shop after Claude goes out of the city for work. Together with Oscar they explore the world of the advanced technology of the time (a projector of still images and other little toys) and end up together with other friends to put up a show for the gallery's citizens.
The 11th episode continue to explore Yune and her sister's backstory where we get the sad truth about the life of Yune in Japan where her sister was discriminated for her beautiful blue eyes. (that color was totally extraneous for the japanese populace)
In the final 12th episode we instead get to pass the final hurdle for the relationship between Yune and Claude revolving around the death of Claude's father. I can now sort of understand Claude's profound hate for the big store stealing their jobs as his father end up dying while helping in the construction of the same...

I liked how the relationship between Yune and Claude slowly, but surely grew up during these times they spent together from the start of the series ending up in a scene that was shouting in my head "Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!" on the rooftop in the last episode.
The, probably, most remarkable achievement of Ikoku Meiro no Croiseè is that while having an episodic approach to the story, it kept that level of connection between episodes to let us keep our interest alive in the characters and keep returning for more!
Yes, as you can see in this video, this is what I expect when watching Ikoku Meiro no Croiseè and what I would like to continue endlessly! Cuteness overload by our two heroines Yune and Alice! They look such a great couple together...
I'm curious if we'll get a second series sooner or later in the future as the original work still has plenty of material to be animated before the final ending. (I am also interested in how the author will complete this storyline...)

I am quite happy with the ending of this adaptation of Ikoku Meiro no Croiseè giving us plenty of space for future adaptations and this is a series I suggest to anyone who likes slice of life stories with plenty of cuteness emanating from all the characters.
See you soon,
