Hello everyone,
Today I managed to watch the 10th episode of the anime series Mawaru Penguindrum and I can say for sure that the combination of Masako personality and voice is probably the most evil/annoying pair I've heard in a lot of time. (but, you know I hate ojou-sama acting characters so well...)
Yes, because this episode is entirely dedicated to Masako and her Project M that seems to be more big than we ever thought before. Masako seems to have paranormal powers judging by how fast she moves around the entire hospital and how managed to send Kanba in a trance-like state in which nothing really made sense. (Apart from the fact that it seems that Masako knew Kanba from the past when he still was a playboy playing around with girls)
The episode follows the story of the second part of the diary capture by Masako that kidnap Shoma and force Ringo to discard her part of the diary in order to save Shoma. Ringo seemed somehow more reasonable in this episode, but I'm still not completely 100% sure she's healed from her craziness. (especially judging from the preview...)
I was amused by all the scenes the penguins had in this episode, starting from the Shoma's penguin that was damaged as well from the fall (just like him), to Kanba's penguin measuring "something" in the skirt of the girls around the hospital.
We also got the introduction of another penguin god at the very end of this episode that Masako referred as Mario (an italian MALE name) that makes sense combined with the presence of a penguin following her. I wonder what's the objective of this other penguin god and why is Masako following his orders (same situation as Himari?!)
I'm starting to think in light of the current events that the Penguindrum is not a single item, but a combination of them and all of our non-main character have a part in it. So with the Ringo's diary out, we still have two characters with some possible part of this Penguindrum that is Tabuki and Yuri.
I'm more leaning on the possibility that Yuri has part of the Penguindrum due to her mysterious personality shown in the previous episodes, but even Tabuki is not entirely safe. Especially if you give a look at his face during the opening animation.
Talking about questions "What is the purpose of this Penguindrum?" is the main question that I have in my mind! Also, why there are multiple penguin god closing in this Penguindrum? (and why all of them are pretty girls/boys? :P)
As usual, Mawaru Penguindrum delivers a great episode that I enjoyed watching and blogging. Why the weeks are so slow to pass...we need more episodes! :P
