Hello everyone,
Today we'll continue with covering some of the most anticipated series of the upcoming fall anime season 2011 with Fate/Zero, an anime series adapted from a light novel and based over the Fate Franchise/World. The series will start the first of october and will be one of the first series to start in this new season.
I think this series needs few introductions to many of you, but to be as reasonable as possible let's talk a little about the setting of this story. Fate/Zero is a prequel to Fate Stay Night written by Gen Urobuchi (the same of Madoka Magica and Phantom, just to do some kind of comparisons...) set 10 years before the events of Fate/Stay Night during the cursed fourth grail war that created the situation we then see 10 years later in the famous series.

Its amusing to see that this year is also the tenth anniversary of Type-Moon (the company behind the original Fate/Stay Night). We sure got a treat with the combination of Carnival Phantasm and Fate/Zero airing around the same time (the next Carnival Phantasm DVD is out on October as well)
After our last post of months ago (20 April 2011) the information about the series multiplied themselves and made us more and more ready to get some big blast when it will finally start airing. I expect this series to have a level of recognition similiar to what Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica in the blogosphere (maybe a little less as speculations are meaningless with a story already completed)
This promotional video (one of many) is the one I liked more due to the nice showcasing of the voices that we'll experience in the actual show. I know that I'm already in love with both Kirei Kotomine's and Kiritsugu Emiya's voice that are voiced respectively Joji Nakata (The count of Monte Cristo and Alucard) and Rikiya Koyama (Seki Ichinomiya from Arakawa, Hideo Kuze from Ghost in the shell and Shinigami-sama from Soul Eater)
Not bad to be hearing back Gilgamesh too honestly speaking arrogantly as always voiced by Tomokazu Seki famous for so many series that I can't even remember all of them (Sousuke Sagara from Full Metal Panic!, Yuuichi Tate from My-HiME, etc...).

From the promotional video animation it looks like ufotable is trying to keep up the levels we saw in Kara no Kyoukai, while I'm not sure they'll be able to do it (as it is honestly a big work...), I'm certainly happy to see some dedication in animating a series.
From the story standpoint, I'm a lot interested in the triangle relationship between Saber, Kiritsugu Emiya and Irisvel von Einzbern, from what I heard around the net it seems that Saber wasn't as much as dere as in Fate Stay Night during her stay in the Fate/Zero timeline... (Irisvel sounds something like a glue between the two...)

This is definitely another of my MUST BLOG series, honestly speaking I do have many series to blog this season, but I hope to get enough time to cover all of them decently. :)
See you soon,
