Hello everyone,
Today we'll do a quick preview of one of the series I'm most anticipating for the next fall 2011 season (except from the most obvious Shana, Working and such) named Guilty Crown that takes up the Noitamina slot (the same as the one of [C] that I loved) and will run for 23 episodes starting from the 13 october 2011.
One of the most interesting thing of this series is that the studio animating this series is the powerful Production I.G, that is better known for the Ghost in the Shell series, Eden of the east and other hits of the recent years, but let's go ahead and see what the story is about...

Let's start with a synopsis (picked up from ANN) :
After the outbreak of the unidentified virus "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power "Ability of King" to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called "Undertaker", whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government.
Oh, I honestly had some shiver after reading this synopsis months ago because it reminded me of the great fail named "Shining Tears" due to the "extract tools or weapons from his friends" part.
Fortunately, shortly after, I read that this is a scenario written from the same two guys that wrote the scenario for Code Geass (Hiroyuki Yoshino and Ichiro Okouchi) and is directed by the same director as Death Note (Tetsuro Araki). With these big names working on this project I am relieved and ready to get some great time watching this!
The trailer, as you can see, is pretty focused on the action and shows quite some nice battle footage revolving around our protagonist, his right hand and Inori Yuzuriha's beauty (she's really lovable). I just have one question about it, am I the only one who saw something resembling a Tachikoma in the video?!
Talking about the the main couple, they somehow reminds me of the protagonists of [C] as far as relationship (at least from what I can understand from the random info I read on the web), hopefully Inori will have a charming personality just like Mashu from the other series.

From the seiyuu point of view, we have plenty of big names working on this project like Kana Hanazawa, Aya Endo, Shuu Ouma, Ayana Taketatsu, etc... (even if most of them are relegated into supporting roles)
I'm especially looking forward the voiceover of Inori Yuzuriha (the main heroine) done by Ai Kayano. She's a rather new seiyuu, but I liked a lot her role as Isana Tachibana in Yumekui Merry and Ayaka Shinozaki in Kami-sama no Memo Chou and I'm hoping she'll keep up the good work in this series as well.

What else to say? I'll probably blog regularly this series as I've done with [C] in the past, but to be sure let's wait for the first episode. Only 1 month remaining...
See you soon,
