Hello everyone,
Here we are for yet another post over the fanservice comedy series named Mayo Chiki. Today we'll talk about the 9th and 10th episode, two episodes without any link with the main story (as in the story revolving Subaru's true identity), but that were very funny to watch.
We start up in the 9th episode that is a pure fanservice episode with Jirou working in a Maid Cafè with Usami Masamune (my eternal love), this was a quite normal storyline until Kanade arrives and spices up things like always with her evilness. After that hilarity ensues with Jirou reluctantly being involved in all the classic crazy ideas of Kanade.

We also get the introduction of three new characters in Milk, Choco and Maria that are the maids actually working in the store. I'm not sure if they ever get the spotlight in the light novel, but I suppose they're just minor character in the anime.
By the way, I laughed hard at the Butler cafè scene where Subaru is confused as a worker and ended up organizing the whole store by itself. (by the way the guys in there looked like the butlers of Kuroshitsuji...:P)
I also liked a lot how they focused the whole episode around Usami this time as well (she looks more of a main heroine rather than Subaru) and it was quite cute watching the final scene in which Jirou discover the tune she used on her cellphone for him...

In the 10th episode we switch main character from our lonely Usami to the energetic little sister Kureha. Yes, because in this episode we celebrate her birthday (16 year old) and each of the girls in the story prepare some present for her.
We get plenty of jokes like the BL scene between Nakuru and Usami (it was brilliant) or the game Kanade prepared for Usami at the very end of the episode (Kanade is so evil)...but this time around the main focus is the relationship between Kureha and her older brother Jirou.
Yes, because through the various flashbacks it is shown how much Kureha loves his brother (even if her way to show affection are somehow dangerous) and how much their relationship is grown during the years.
I love how this series manages to combine extreme fanservice (I honestly skipped a beat at the garterbelt Usami scene) with emotional stuff like Kureha crying over Jirou unconscious body (in one of the first couple of episodes)

I'm looking forward toward the next episodes of this series and I'm a little sad that only few episodes remains till the end of the series. I'm already hoping for an OVA to come out!
See you soon,
