Hello everyone,
Today we'll go and talk about the 8th, 9th and 10th episode (yes, I was quite behind...) of the anime series Kami-sama Dolls, a series that started bland, but a piece at a time is growing up in me and in a lot of bloggers around the anime blogosphere.
These three episodes are mostly build-up stories made to showcase the relationship between the characters and the past behind each one of them before going into the last arc of this adaptation. (judging from the fact that the manga is still running it will probably be an anime original ending)
In the 8th episode we get an interesting indirect talk between Aki and Kyouhei on the reason of existence of the dolls Kuga and Hyuga are using. While Aki think they are just a weapon of mass slaughter, Kyouhei is more rational giving a major role on the user of the doll because he is in the end the one making the decisions.

While I still don't understand the origin of these "gods" (what is that make them move and generate energy in the first place), I'm more leaning toward Aki's idea due to the 10th episode flashback revolving the doll that was able to move by itself without any kind of user whatsoever by eating the heart of people around her...
Yes, because in the 9th and 10th episode we get the showcase of a new character, a girl named Mahiru Hyuga (voiced by Kana Hanazawa) that is the perfect example of a girl that lost her mind and heart (I can't explain in any other way her crazyness) in that heated battle against the gigantic automated doll.
She is in deep love with Kyouhei after he saved her life by activating the "absorb and shoot back" power of Kukuri against that gigantic automated doll as shown in the flashback scene in the 10th episode even though the actual Kyouhei doesn't remember it at all.

Her personality is rather controverse and change drastically depending on who's talking with her. When she talks with Kyouhei, her behaviour is lovable and extremely cute, but whenever someone else is involved she becomes an hateful spoiled brat. I wonder if she'll mature a little by the end of the series...
At this point of the series my questions are many, but let's focus on the most important one.
First of all, is the doll in the flashback the same as the one in the basement of the Hyuga head? If yes, I think that it won't be Hibino the one controlled by that thing in the finale of the series (as that doll can move without seki at all), but if she doesn't have a role there, what's the meaning of her existence in this whole story?!
Also, I'm starting to think that these dolls are some kind of weapon from some other civilization, but will we get an explanation on their origin in these few remaining episodes?

I'm looking forward to the ending of this series as well and I'll likely pick up the manga of this series as well. Planning to do a manga order this month and this will probably be inside the order depending on the availability!
See you soon,

P.S. On an unrelated note, I ordered a Makise Kurisu Nendoroid figure! Its dated to be return available within this month, I hope she'll be at my home soon...
