Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the ninth episode of the summer season 2011 anime series Kami-sama no Memo Chou! This episode, while being a filler with little to none development, was quite an improvement compared to the previous arcs in terms of quality and finally set up the base for the drug incident that will start with the next episode and is closely related to the character of Ayaka (that, by the way, I love).
In this episode we found our NEET team to be involved in a baseball match to save a game center from being closed due to debts toward a Yakuza group. (Actually they thought the yakuza was referring to the online game and not real baseball though...)

Alice get involved to plan a way to win against these fierce opponents (all ex-high school-player) and the tragi-comic training begin with almost all the characters presented till now partecipating in some way in it. (Even Meo from the other Yakuza arc near the beginning)
With a "great" team composed of total amateur and the great addition of a cheerleading Ayaka (damn, she was really beautiful in that outfit) shouting "NEET" at great voice they face off the enemy team.
The match goes nicely till the very end when Yondaime (the only one who seems to be able to play decently) falls due to the big wounds received in the previous incident and the Narumi/Alice pair is the only one with a chance to save the day.

Now, disregarding the lame cheesy way they decided to conclude the episode (with some "father-like" line from Narumi to the Yakuza), let's focus on the really serious stuff. What do I mean by serious? Alice trying to swing a bat, what else there is of serious in this series?!
She was so cute in her small stature standing there in the middle of the ground to face that gigantic enemy and managing to actually cheat him and gain bases for the team! I want to take her home!
My character ranking in this series is at the moment really uncertain with Ayaka leading the pack followed by the cute Alice right behind together with the ingenue Meo! Everything will be likely decided in the next important arc!

What will be the focus of the next arc? Looks like the famous drug incident "angel fix" start with Ayaka's brother somehow involved in it. What will happen now?
I'm looking forward the next arc to see if they'll be able to redeem this otherwise mediocre series!
See you soon,
