Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the first episode of the second season of Working that got a preview air in these days while the real air date of the first episode is the first october. I'll be honest, I'm quite excited at the idea of returning to Wagnaria with all the friendly characters and funny interaction between them in this fall 2011 anime series.
This first episode provide us the same mix of characters and funny jokes that made the first season so famous and we get a little of focus on each of the characters already presented in the story with major focus on Popura, Inami and Takanashi.

Nothing was missing from this episode, from Popura's hate of being treated like a child (she's as cute as ever) to Mahiru's destructive punching power (capable of leveling up entire cities at will!) passing through Takanashi unwavering love for everything small and cute!
We also had our share of Aoi Yamada, the mysterious, cute and mischievious girl presented late in the first season (she's supposedly a girl that runned away from home so Yamada is not her real name) that is by the way also my favourite character of Working!
Why her? Well, the main reason is that she's voiced by Ryou Hirohashi, she's definitely the seiyuu I most like the voice of! That mix of cute and strange in her voice is something I can't really have enough of... (Unsurprisingly I love all her characters like Alice Carroll from Aria, Ame Ochibana from Denpa Teki na Kanojo, etc...)
By the way, in this episode we don't have the highly expected introduction of the glasses "normal" girl (Maya Matsumoto), but just some mindless fun to let us know all the quirks of our characters and the relationship they hold to each other. (great care is given to the triangle-relationship between Mahiru-Popura-Takanashi)
I hope they'll introduce Maya Matsumoto early in the next season to allow us to familiarize with her personality and let her blend in the mix of established characters we had till now in Working. I wonder how she'll fit and who will be the character she'll have more relationship with...
The animation job was good and A-1 Pictures seems to be doing a good job this time around. Let's hope they'll keep up the same levels for the rest of the series as well.
In the preview episode there was no OP and no ED song/animation so we will have to talk about them later in the future when the series will start airing properly the first of october.

I'm extremely looking forward to the future episode of this series and this is a sure-to-blog series for me even if maybe not regularly. (this kind of comedy stories don't really allow for easy episodic blogging)
See you soon,
