Hello everyone,
Today we'll talk about the shocking 8th episode of Mawaru Penguindrum, the most original series of this summer season 2011, a series that is really keeping the level of questions high while not forgetting to make the story actually progress.
The 8th episode continue to focus for the whole duration on the Ringo/Tabuki/Yuri/Shoma polygon relationship that, like you remember, it was in a climax point in the last episode with Ringo ready to slip into Tabuki's bed to "become pregnant" of him.

I thought they were ready to give us a "Yuri is already in the bed" situation, but they've gone in a rather different and decisive way for the progress of the storyline...
Yes, because Tabuki moved in to live with Yuri in her mansion and Ringo is left with just rage in her heart in the empty apartment with Shoma trying to make her quit these foolish and meaningless acts.
But she doesn't lose her will and continue to pursue her interest in a maniacal way somewhat reminiscent of the yandere type of character especially if you give a good look at those evil eyes she shows in the last minutes of the episode when she was trying to strip Tabuki.

Her plan of drugging Tabuki almost manages to succeed, but she's stopped by both Yuri (coming in after her flight was cancelled) and Shoma. He strangely acted a lot more manly than usual by jumping on her while drugged to stop her.
I was quite confused by the last scene with the motorcycle guy ripping apart the diary while Ringo was holding it in the middle of the street. Was that biker actually Celty Sturluson in disguise?! I swear he was so similiar to her!
Also, the face of Ringo while watching Shoma's body on the ground was really scary...maybe that's the shock necessary to make her return to be a normal high school girl?!

Now we have a Shoma that is unlikely to be unharmed from the incredible jump/hit received from the running car and a Ringo that is completely mentally broken after having her diary divided in half by the motorcycle guy.
What will happen now? Will Ringo care for Shoma and forget Tabuki once and for all? Will Shoma just get up and act like the immortal Kanba after that unrealistic truck chase?
Also, what is exactly planning Masako Natsume with her plan M? It is pretty sure something different from Ringo's one, but still it isn't clear what it refers to...

As always we have many questions, but I'm confident that we're near to the conclusion of the Ringo arc. I want to see her join Shoma in the main cast!
See you soon,
