Hello everyone,
And here we are for our weekly Steins Gate time that is slowly, but surely ending with only two weeks remaining before the end! (I wonder if any of the series in the next season will be able to fill up this spot...)
Today we'll talk about the incredible episode 22 that was by far the most "beautiful" of the ones I watched till now and that is also the one that prepare us for the final battle to save Kurisu!
This episode talk about the "end" of the love story between Makise Kurisu and our protagonist Okabe Rintarou. The two pass the last bit of time together (loved how Kurisu mended his lab coat) and end up confessing to each other and kiss in a very romantic way before reversing the last d-mail and returning to the beta timeline.

I'll be honest, even if I'm a Mayuri fan (and I will probably remain for the rest of the series) I really loved every single second of this episode.
There were great moments like Kurisu running in the lab to give the last goodbye to Okabe (but getting interrupted by the timeline shift), Okabe "celebrating" his "final" victory over SERN after returning to the beta timeline and Mayuri comforting Okabe in the beta timeline telling him "you can cry for yourself. Mayushii is fine now".
I was honestly a little shocked by the call of Suzuha right at the end of the episode especially giving the content of the call. "we need to meet up to avoid the third world war to happen in the future"

I mean, the beta timeline wasn't going to be happy and smiling? We passed from a dystopian world to a war-ravaged world? Probably this is just a well devised plot device to give Okabe a reason for fighting to switch again timeline and save Kurisu from her final fate. After this revelation I'm SURE Kurisu will be alive at the end of the series in one way or another.
What about now? Well, there is plenty to fix as far as pending plot lines, but my main question is exactly one. How is Kurisu going to survive? I suppose Suzuha and her knowledge of the future will come in handy this time around! Maybe Okabe can use her time machine! (this would make sense with the "I talked with you 15 mins ago" talk of Kurisu at the start of the series)

Still two episodes to the end of Steins Gate, but I already feel a little lonely thinking it will end in such a short time...
See you soon,
